OK...here is another clip in song context, the Allman Brothers "Jessica." All the info about the track is the link. I personally liked the feedback at 7:27, but that is the cool thing of recording USB and still having some speaker interaction.

There are flubs and clams because I recorded and mixed it in little over a hour. I had a backing track for the non-guitar stuff, but still....

I just finished quickly laying down Kid Charlemagne. The Fender Twin setting is the bomb for clean rhythm tracks. The lead is the neck pickup on my Tele with the Deluxe Reverb setting with the internal overdrive set to a light grind. I am diggin' this amp, but I gotta stop playing before my hands fall off....

Theses are pretty great clips, apart from the UK80s which sounds pretty awful. Does it really sound like that? Maybe try with a different cab? It sounds like the cab models for the 70 and 80 should be swapped if anything. Plexis have a "fuzzy" edge, JCM800s don't. I like the way the JCM800 model reacts to your playing and some of the higher up lead stuff sounds good but it sounds like you're running it through a bass cab or something.

Glad to see you here.
Are you putting some of your patches on the Fuse community?

Yeah, does anyone else love the AC30 on this thing?

Most AC30 models don't get it quite right and some bizarrely try to mesh it with a Bluesbreaker kind of sound(See: SCXD).

A lot of AC type sounds, sound too harsh for me, like they have some upper alias thing going on. I don't mind that kind of sound for some things as I use a lot of crazy fuzz and that.

This model manages to capture the good "classic rock" sounds without the TB, and get some of the harshness with the TB without turning into an ear piercing screech.

I hear people using the Princeton model for these type of sounds instead, why? Maybe people don't realise how harsh Vox amps can sound, I can kind of see it, for that reason I often prefer some Marshalls for their break up tone, chimey but warmer and less trebley.

YES, seriously. With the flick of a couple parameters I've gone from Daytripper to Bohemian Rhapsody. Great for a Peter Buck REM sound, too. I've found myself playing old songs I learned from REM years ago, and they've never sounded better than they do now. Love this machine.

drgonzoguitar Thanks for posting. Great sounds and nice original!
I'm buying a practice amp. I've been looking at all sorts of different choices. This clinched it for me, I'm going to get the mustang and dive into fuse.
Thanks again.
Phil

Everything great but Metal 2000 clip sounded horrible. It just oozed spandex and lipstick. Not a big fan of modern metal myself, but it's made for metalcore and death metal IMO.

Would be interesting to listen to some miked version of the same clips so we can compare the tone of direct recordings versus miked ones, say, with a simpe SM57.

That's what I'm planning to-do...but i'm still waiting... I ordered two different types of microphones a month ago...just to see what is the difference between Live w/ Mic and Live w/ USB...

I love the Super Sonic on these Amps...where else can we get feedback on volume 2 :P
The Brian May one is nice ..there all cool (plus this guy knows howto play...has a great ear) ... total opposite of me ............ lol

Wow that sounds great.
Unfortunately my mustang amp sounds AWFUL when using the USB interface.
Like, pretty bad. Muddy sound, clipped, no attack at all.
If I use a clean tone setting, I can hear my mustang sounding ok from the amp, but the recorded track sounds pretty bad. Very low gain, muddy and no tone at all.
Im recording directly on garageband, no extra effects, just using Fender Fuse.
Any help? recommendations?

Try making small adjustments to the USB gain. It might take a little experimentation to get it right.

To adjust the USB gain:

Fender® FUSE™ contains USB Gain level adjustment for increasing or decreasing the level of the signal sent to your computer through the USB port on your Fender FUSE-connected device.

This level adjustment can come in handy for instrument presets that either overload your recording software's input or presets that aren't loud enough.

The maximum signal level that can be added with USB Gain is 24db. The "12 o'clock position" is a 12db boost respectively.

The USB Gain control can be found in the Fender FUSE Advanced Amp panel. It can be adjusted and it's settings can be saved on a per-preset basis. This means that you can set the USB Gain at a certain level on one preset and save it independently of the USB Gain setting for any other presets.
