Cubase 5 is certainly ASIO-compatible. Are you certain you've installed the Fender Universal ASIO Driver?

Yes I reinstalled it twice..."Cubase does not see an audio device therefore you will be unable to record" I tried many many times over 2 days to get it to work searching forums etc... I had ezdrummer working originally after the install as well, and now NOTHING. I am going to throw the Cubase out the window!

Hey Strat-Toter,

What are your system specs? Do you have the UX1 connected at the same time as the G-DEC? In the ASIO settings control panel do you see USB Audio Device or DEC Audio listed at all? Also, don't forget that we are available by phone to assist you with these types of issues. That way you don't have to spend two days digging around.

Loren, it is a Mustang II, and no I do not see the Fender Mustang amp listed, but I was seeing the Fender ASIO. I am now trying to re-install the Ableton and Fuse on my desktop as it is much more powerful and now I cannot get Ableton authorized on my desktop as a second PC as it is telling me the Hardware code is invalid??? I am waiting for Ableton to respond and I am growing more unhappy by the minute with this purchase.

Are you able to view the ASIO control panel? What devices do you see listed there? You may see Fender ASIO in the audio settings for Live but you shouldn't see that in the ASIO settings panel. Take a look at this KB article:
http://fender.com/support/article.php?kb_id=151

Regarding your authorization issue, I'll see if I can get you moved up in line with Ableton's support. Can you send your contact info to the email address below?

Loren

Hey, I wanted to bump this thread because Loren's link to the KB article solved my problem! Thanks, Loren.

I hope Strat-Toter didn't toss his Mustang and Cubase out the window...!

Hey Bobbyswamp,

I'm glad that worked for you. It's a good place to start for anyone having issues with ASIO.

This page link has now been broken.
Could someone ( a Mod) please join up the dots again as I'm interested in resolving my Cubase/ Mustang issue too.

Many Thanks

Hi gonrough,

We will be happy to assist. Although we do not support anything besides the Ableton software, we recommend that you download the most recent ASIO4ALL driver and take a look at the link attached in this message, for some additional trouble shooting steps on how to connect your Mustang Device with your DAW. Please let us know if we can assist further.
