Hi, this amp looked very good to me at first but oh what a shame when i found out that the led's change colour depending on what mode is in use, because being red/green colour blind, red green and amber all appear exactly the same colour so i shan't be buying one after all

It might not be as bad as you think because although the preset lights use three color leds, when you turn the knob to select the preset they sweep from bottom to top yellow then bottom to top green and then bottom to top red as you turn the knob clockwise. So if if just put a white dot on the preset knob, the position of the knob and the led which is on will tell you what preset you've selected- you won't need to see the color. Maybe fender should have used the same type of knob for the preset as they did for mod and dly/rev which already has the dot on it. For those knobs you use the position of the white dot and position of the led lit to determine what effect you've selected.

The other multi color led is for the footswitch A/B setting.

For the other leds the position tells you wha's happening.

One thing i noticed is that going from green to red to amber the amp settings tend to get more "hotter" so you should be able to hear the difference and guess what bank you are on. You can also count as you go from green to red to amber - 8 settings in each bank so 1-8 is green, then 9-16 is red then 17-24 is amber. Yeah - i agree it's not all that "color blind" friendly -sorry - i have a relative that is color blind so i know it's a hassle that things are not always set up with this in mind. Maybe next time Fender could add a flash to the LEDs so they will flash once on/off for the green bank, then twice on/off when you get to the red bank then three times on/off for the amber bank. Good luck - hope this helps!
