I recently ordered the mustang 2 amp, and am trying to use the usb recording. I have downloaded live 8 lite and amplitude and have also installed the fender universal ASIO. On both amplitude and live it can find the fender universal ASIO. However when in ASIO Settings neither of the two programs can find the mustang amplifier input. I have read the Fender® Mustang™ I & II Recording and Playback article but it hasn't really helped me find the missing input... Are there any other ways i can record without it? thanks in advance.

My guess would be that it's because those are 3rd party software packages and you can find instructions on how to use them from the company that wrote the software. AmpliTube is done by http://www.ikmultimedia.com/, while Ableton is just http://www.ableton.com/.

You can use fender asio but I have heard there are delaay issues and you should use asio4all, but heres how you do it in both, you go into asio settings (might have to double click the asio symbol next to your pc clock (be sure you have selected asio in your settings in the program you are trying to use first) then click the wrench icon, you should then be able to select your mustang and you speakers (if it only lets you pick one then click the wrench again)

I was overwhelmed with this at first too but after a little research and patience ,I got Ableton up and running with relative ease and I am not a whiz by any means with DAW's and recording software.Once you figure it out it is fun.I love the fact that it has a looper buit in and it is really easy to build on just a simple guitar rythm or drum loop and go from there. It is easy to just drag in amplitube...don't give up.It is not as hard as it seems.I was recording multiple tracks on the first night I really sat down with it.I am addicted to it now
