I'm thinking of buying the Mustang I amp but I wonder if it can be used as a regular USB interface. I've read that you can record the sound with GarageBand, but I still wonder if the settings of the amp could "collide" with the settings of GarageBand. For example if I decide to use a special amp/pedal combination in GarageBand, will the Mustang amp modify the sound before reaching the computer?

I read somewhere on the forum that:
Quote:
The USB output on the Mustang doesn't have a level control. What you can do is record to Garageband or any other recording software and raise the volume there

Which means that the volume of the amp does not change the USB data, but does the other settings change the output of the USB connection?

Edit: basically, my question would be: can the Mustang amp be used as a standard, "raw sound" USB interface.

Thanks anyway for everything, I'll buy it anyway but I wondered...
