the other day i got a little curious about what my mustang I would sound like open backed so i opened it up and liked the sound so next thing i did was get out the hole saw and put 4 2" holes across the bottom of the back cover. it loosened up the bass some and at high volume the speaker breaks up some now.

its definatly not for every one but i play mosly bluesy stuff i almost never use the high gain models so it fits me.

btw if you try this dont shock your self.

I was thinking of doing it too. Is there plenty of wire going to the power plug ?

theres not a lot of wire but, you will only be able to open it up a few inches, enough to decide if you like it or not. the hardest part was getting the back panel to come off the first time. btw be sure to mark what color wire goes where if you take the panel off that way you can get them all back in to place.
