I'd like to hear what a Big Muff sounds like in front of it.

I just got done playing my pedalboard into my MII.
I have the following: FD 2, Lovepedal Les Lius, Diamond Tremolo and MXR Carbon Copy Delay. My Turbo tuner is not in my pedal chain.
My gig amps are a Mesa Express 5:25 and a Jazzkat Tom kat.
The Mustang sounded great with my set-up. There was even a Bassman setting that I stacked my OD with it.
I turned off all of the Mustangs effects and slowly added some reverb as needed.
This is going to be a great live amp when I'm in the mood to get some variety in my amp models.

Bassman type amps are actually better for taking pedals as they have a more flat EQ but with a bit of a mid bump. Fender Twins/Blackface/Silverface type amps tend to have an upper mid bump(though this is technically from the pickup, and it's scooping the mids, but whichever) which sounds great with cleans but can get tiresome on the ears with certain kinds of dirt. Of course a lot of pedals are designed to be put in front of amps voiced like this anyway.

I find on modelers the upper mid bump is way exaggerated, probably as part of the "Like it sounds on the record" things. Of course, it wouldn't be processed that way if there was a pedal in front of it.

Bassman/Tweed/Champ type amps are definitely better for Fuzz though, IMO, since they sound like a fuzz pedal if you slam them with a boost anyway. They also have a more aggressive voicing and are way better for metal.

Ahhh darnit.. The irony of this is overwhelming...

I sold my Little Big Muff to get the Mustang II =\ it's sitting in a closed box waiting to be picked up for shipping lol.
