Wanted a small modeling amp that I could carry around with me. One with a pristine clean sound. Considered all the prime candidates. Happened to be in the store when the new Mustangs arrived. Had just read about them online that morning. Tried them out and they blew me away! Bought the Mustang I right on the spot.

I must admit, I really wanted the Mustang II ($229 CDN) - but opted for the smaller profile of the Mustang I ($129 CDN). 17 lbs. I love it.

And this little puppy howls! It's a small amp with a big heart. I've been playing since the 60's, and have used many of the tube amps this one models. I loved them then, and I love the chance to enjoy the sound of playing them again.

I've only had my amp for a few days, but at this point, I pretty much love everything about it. I have yet to try recording tracks thru USB. Still experimenting with the models and presets and getting familiar with FUSE.

I just bought a Strat so I am having fun with the '65 Twin Reverb. It's a surfin' safari!

This amp sounds authentic Fender with the Strat single coils - and as might be expected, the Tele sounds perfect, too. However, it is equally at home with Humbuckers and P-90s. Hope they put out a twin 12 model. I'd buy it, too.

I think Fender hit the ball right out of the park with the Mustang line.

And it was a line-drive still rising as it passed over the left field fence

I bought mine last week and really liked the light weight, separated delay/reverb from modulation effects, the sound of the amp and the ability to connect to a computer. I prefer the cleaner models over the higher gain ones, but those sound pretty good too.

For sure. In every way, this little amp has surpassed all my expectations. And then some. It sounds great, and Fuse is a good idea. The ability to control the amp, enjoy extended features, share presets, store an unlimited number of sounds etc etc. Can't wait to try recording with the USB.

Hard to believe you can get all this for about what it costs to take the family to the movies. By far, the most fun I've had with $100.

My main interest is clean sounds, too. Even with an eight inch speaker, this little amp does 'clean' real well.

Maybe we should post a few of our favorite presets for low gain, clean settings. Some folks might find it boring, but for us clean-toners I think it could be handy. What do you think?

I wouldn't mind posting some presets. Just as soon as I can get my amp unstuck from firmware update mode. It happened after a failed firmware update. The only thing it does right now is blink the "Save" light. No sound or anything when I plug a guitar in.

As well I find the cleans to be the best part of the amp so far. I had an original GDEC and it was near impossible to get just a clean sound out of it. I'm a relative beginner and too much distortion just covers up bad technique. With this, I get honest feedback on my playing.

+1 on adding 'clean-type' presets.

But dishonest feedback can sound so raunchy...

I agree that this amp is $100 well spent. When it's not serving its purpose as the amp I can carry anywhere around the house, I run it into my '65 TRRI, which is sounding massive in ways it never did before.

Geez, good idea. Are you mic-ing it into the TR or connecting from the headphone jack?

Straight from the headphone jack. I've also been running out of the second input of the TR through a delay into another practice amp I have (a Vox Pathfinder Bass) to mix in a little different tone and to make up for the loss of the Mustang's speaker when the line-out is in use. I had totally forgotten about the second-input trick until I started trying figure out how to hook up all three amps (a Boss CE-5 is next on my list).

Thanks JCW. I'm gonna give it a whirl on my faithful old '72 Peavey Standard Series 260's, and we'll see how well the windows are installed in my basement. LOL.

Hi, there are four sound modules in FUSE, you can place each one in a stomp or rack space, stomps before the amp, or racks after the amp
just the gui is drawn differently, the options stay the same, and each module can only be used in one space. Each module has its own drop-down menus, this is what available in the menus:

There are no downloadable fx. New presets can be downloaded within the fuse gui. The media center button toggles to the Preset Editor, in the
media center, presets are divided between 24 on the amp, and the all you have added to computer, there are 3 buttons for 'Computer Amp Web' to highlite to display your choice. Right-click on presets to see the options. It took me some practice to figure out the flow, and I needed to install the latest flash for downloads to function.
Cheers
