I have yet to see anywhere on the internet or elsewhere if the Fuse software with my Mustang II amp can be interfaced with a Rolls MiddyBuddy 128 footcontroller and a Midi to USB cable to be able to make switching changes of stored presets on the fly.In other words, can the footcontroller be used in place of a mouse? In a live situation,a laptop and the MidiBuddy makes more sense than the 2 presets limited with the optional footswitch.

Hi, my Mustang does not present any midi port to the OS, so if one exists on
the amp motherboard, its yet to be made active via firmware update. Maybe someone knowing those motherboard details has better information.
Cheers

Hey Guys,

The Mustang contains no MIDI functionality at all. Fender FUSE simply controls the Mustang amplifier and has no amp modeling of its own. I don't see that setup working at all.

Maybe I didnt quite ask my question right.I dont want to control the amp directly with midi,I was curious if the software parameters such as amp selection and presets could scrolled thru or be switched up or down, with my MiddyBuddy connected thru the computers USB port, using it in place of a mouse. Its definately a hardware issue, but I would think a driver that would control that would not be out of the realm at all.

Sorry, the answer is still no.

That doesn't preclude Fender bringing out a USB footswitch providing multiple preset switching. Hint hint.

According to Mr. Howard, the Mustang series has no MIDI so I don't think that would work... I suppose they could make a more advanced footswitch but I'd be amazed if it ever happened! 8)

A USB footswitch needn't be dependent on midi. It would simply use a proprietary control scheme like the G-DEC 3 30's or the G-DEC 30's.

I'd like to jumper wire a second main dial, and mount it on a guitar. Anyone have a spare amp I can borrow to experiment on?

8 stomp switches, and a three-way toggle switch, one might be able to do it
all analog.
