Does the footswitch plug in to a regular footswitch jack or USB?

Since the amp can be controlled in real time via usb, there should be no problems other than added expense in creating a line of USB controllers for it.

Reading between the lines of fender representatives posts, I get the impression that to keep costs so low, these amps can't have new models and features added, and only limited parts of the circuit design are open to
firmware revision. Strictly conjecture on my part, I'll be happy to be in error,
but I'm delighted with the great sounds, and system integration these amps provide. :)
Guitar Center extended the $20 website coupon til Thursday, if a $79 or $179 dynamo tickles anybodies plastic. Beter to be jammin than fence-sittn' 8)

I've been using the Foot Switch off a Frontman 212R and while it has 2 buttons (Channel Select and Drive/More Drive) only the Channel works with the Mustang (I have the Mustang 1 in case that matters) but more surprisingly I found that my keyboard foot pedals for sustain etc. work with it ha. Granted it acts like a sustain pedal so when you initially plug it in it goes to the Red preset and to get the Green you have to hold it down otherwise it goes right back to Red but if your in a bind and happen to have a keyboard with a pedal...

But I too would like the throw my name in the hat for the idea of a more controllable foot switch other than just alternating b/t 2 presets, after the one with the GDEC it almost makes me wish I would have gone with the G-Dec but then I remember the Mustang is $100 and that puts an end to any regret ha, seriously for $100 this amp is unreal, plus the software, it's a no-brainer, and it works with keyboard foot pedals ha.
