I’m Back for my yearly review of my Mustang IV that I purchased new back in February 2011.

I guess it’s safe to say at this point… I didn’t get a lemon. Zero Issues from day one and still rockin’ nine years later. My opinion of the amp has not changed...still magical and fun to play through.

On a sidenote and just as impressive… I’m still using the same Zoom G2.1U multi effects pedal from years back for my two tube amps.

I should also mention that when I went in to purchase this amp.. I also walked out with the newly released Squier vintage modified jazzmaster with the Hardtail bridge. This guitar still sounds and plays amazing with it’s Seymour Duncan designed jazzmaster pickups!

Same here Matty, I just used my Mustang III v1 amp last night to record an acoustic guitar into my DAW. Basically using it as a USB interface. I'm about 9 years in too. Still works great. Too bad the shut down Fuse updates and development.

I’m not surprised with Fender fuse as I had a feeling it would burn down long before the amps would. I found it to be very problematic right from the beginning as it didn’t seem compatible with everyone’s system.

It's just a bummer because it never really took off like it should have. They built a decent (although buggy) platform and it was like people didn't know what to do with it. Me and a handful of other users were trying each other's patches, recommending backing tracks and footswitch settings, etc.

It's still a valid idea, but I think it would gain more traction if they included a recording interface. Just imagine being able to record a blues jam with people from all around the world. Each user downloads the backing track file and adds their part. Then they upload it for the next person. That would be so cool if it could all be done inside one interface.

version 1 mustang II bought in 2012.

has not ever made one single sound that it isn't not supposed to make.

I did have to replace the on/off switch about a year ago.

It was easy repair since I have a brother in-law who's an electronics tech, found a replacement part for about 2 bucks on line.

Congrats on the longevity! I have a Mustang 1 V1 that also is ancient
and excellent. Regarding Fuse, I posted in the GT area about a nice freebie
ampsim come-on from IK Multimedia, and a sale priced IK effects collection,
the combo of which would be an excellent addition to typical Fender gear,
