Post subject: fender mustang 412 cabinet grill removal

so i just picked up one these and wanted to clean the grill and repair a few little rips. no i don't want to leave it as it is.
it would be a lot easier if the grill came out; anyone know how to? or is it glued?

Well; if it is anything like the Mustang IV I used to have...it is glued, and then glued again, and then they glued in chunks of wood to hold in the glued glue. I found it 100% impossible to remove the the grill cloth without taking 75% of the amp apart. Cabinet may be different, and I pray for your sake that it is. Couldn't get rid of that amp fast enough. Traded for a Fender Power Chorus (Red Knob), and the "re-grill" on that and my Ultimate Chorus was a walk in the park---remove the speaker, slide out the control panel, and pop the grill cloth frame out from the front.
Good luck; and if you find an easy way make sure you post it here...even though I no longer have the Mustang, I'd still like to know if I over-looked a method.

Thank you KidBlast! It is laughable. I'm guessing Fender heard too many complaints on how these 'high power' units were "vibrating apart", and just said---well; we got glue.
