Hi all. I am new to playing guitar. I just bought a Mustang I v2 for my Epiphone Les Paul. Every option has distortion. Is there a way to get a clean sound out of this?

Find any preset with the Princeton model selected. Turn off all effects. Clean.

Your amp has, like, 16 amp models built into it. For clean tones, you can use at least 7 of them to get a clean tone with different tonal qualities. The problem is... to access all of them, you need FUSE. You'd have to hook the thing up to a computer and use FUSE to re-program some of your presets to sounds you like. Then you can just turn the dial to that preset and get the tone you set yourself.

'57 Fender Deluxe
'59 Fender Bassman (keep the gain low to stay clean)
'65 Fender Princeton Reverb
'65 Fender Deluxe Reverb
'65 Fender Twin Reverb
VOX AC30 (again, keep gain low to stay clean)
Studio Preamp (it doesn't get any cleaner than this)

Just about every other amp model in the Mustang is a drive sound with distortion. Even the Marshall SLP (British 70s) doesn't fully clean-up with the Gain knob at 2.

Another way to clean up distortion is to turn the volume down on your guitar.
If you're anything like I was starting out, I always "dimed" the guitar volume and tried to do everything with the amp controls...doesn't work so well that way.
