hey new here but I just made a discovery about the Mustang V with the v.2 4-12 cab. I could never get it to sound good in basic fender mode lol w a strat The thing sounded boomy no matter what, metal and thrash awesome but SRV nope too muffled, had to turn the bass way down to like 4 and treb and mids like 71/2
soooo thought I would take a look at the speakers and see if all was well. got the back off (it has mastic so needs some gentle prying.....well looks fine......sooooo played it w/o the back WHOA sucker opened up like someone had their hand over it's mouth.....man, turned up bass to 7 treb down and little up in mid and this thing can breath, and pulls like a ....well, like a.... like a......race horse.....lol I was bumbed but now I'm stoked...

Does the cabinet still feel solid when you pick it up? You might have to reinforce it in back to keep the integrity of the cabinet. But that's a cool discovery.
