hello

I have a Mustang Floor with firmware 1.4.
Now I want to control the floor of Cubase with midi. Is that even possible?

I can control my Boss RC-300 Looper wonderfully from Cubase, unfortunately the Floor doesn't react at all.

Setting in the Floor Util:
MIDI In Channel: 5
MIDI Out Channel: 6

Now I send the command CC24 with the value 10 or 80 from Cubase on channel 5.
According to the manual modulation should be switched on or off.
I tried that with a Midi Simulator (Midi-OX), unfortunately without success.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your support.

I see this thread is sitting unanswered. Unfortunately, I never had a Mustang Floor and don't know the answer to your question. This part of the forum isn't very active these days and the MFloor was discontinued years ago. Your best bet might be to just call Fender and ask them.

I should break out my Mustang Floor and see if I can get the MIDI to work. I've been gigging in and acoustic band heavily and put my Floor away until I have some time to mess with it. I don't have Cubase but I do have a Behringer MIDI Footcontroller that I could try out. I used to use the Behringer with a Cyber-Twin and Cyber-Champ and had great success with that set up. I have a vacation coming up and should have some time to dig into the Floor+Behringer set up.

You might check into the MIDX-20 from Primova Sound. It works wilth Mustang I-IV including v2. Perhaps their support can confirm if it also works with the floor. Love how it also has two analog jacks for expression pedals.

Brings full expression control to those that have a Mustang 1 or II V2 unit instead of the specialized pedal sets for the III-V.

Hey, zombie thread I know, but maybe someone will get notified of a reply...

This Primova thing...I can't seem to find an answer on their product description...can I use it to transmit program changes from my DAW to my Mustang III v2? That would be great for me, instead of having to remember and manually switch presets between songs (and intra-song too).

Thanks!

HI all, I figured this out! And for future readers...yes, the MIDX-20 can in fact do that. I have one on order!
