Hi all, I recently purchased a Mustang III along with my first Electric Guitar a Custom Fender Telecaster. How do I program the Amp to give me the same sound coming from the guitar as a normal amp without any other preset tones?

Please go easy on me. I am a complete newbie!

If you scroll up to presets 83-99 you will find the basic model of each of the amps the Mustang models without all the special effects. I would choose the Basic 65 Twin for the cleanest tone to start out with and then you can try the others to see what you like. Of course you will want to fiddle with the Treble-Mid-Bass etc to get the tone you are looking for. The Mustang does not have its own voice. All the presets mimic the sound of some other amp.

I would say the cleanest you're likely to get out of your Mustang is the Studio Pre Amp . Can't remember the exact number but it's in the range of 83-99 that musicalmike mentioned.

The Princeton model is pretty clean too. Whatever patch you choose, if it isn't clean enough for your liking, turn down the GAIN.
