Hello..
I own Mustang IV v2.
I love big fat greasy sound so i add some analog pedals (i know its wrong on this amp) straight Guitar > Pedals > Amp (no loop behind the amp)
AND when im about to hit the fattest sound with high drive levels on my pedals, the amp seems to cut out some sound on the messiest parts.. like a bad gate or something. It is not happening with lamp amps..
Is this rly mustangs thing.. to fiddle with sound (trying to enhance it and clean it out)?

There is a noise gate for presets in page 2 of the amp settings. Press AMP twice, and you will see page 2.

Check the Gate setting for that preset.

Also, it's possible you are hitting the front end of the amp too hard with your pedals, and it's clipping if you're trying to boost volume as well with the pedals.

when using pedals with your amp, you should set the pedals at unity, (meaning when you turn on the pedal, the pedal comes on at relatively the same volume as when it's off, but instead, adding what ever the pedal is supposed to do (eg: over drive, distortion, fuzz..)...

The best way to get a volume boost, is to have two identical presets next to each other, where one is louder than the other by way of the volume settings saved in the preset. (not master volume, the volume control near the Gain pot)

assign the quieter one to QA1, (Quick Access) the louder one, to QA2.

Now when you want the "Boost" - like for leads, just press QA2 on your foot switch, QA2 preset will be louder than the current one, QA1, and give you some added push.

When you want to go back to a normal rhythm volume, just select QA1.

Control the amps over all volume using the Master Volume,

Hey KidBlast, I have to ask....

My brother is a gamer and I remember he was using the name "Babysauce" for a while. I didn't think twice about the meaning until he explained. "Babysauce" refers to the ...erm ... "sauce" that is used to make babies.

So I'm wondering - does "KidBlast" mean the same?
