LOL ok I know this sounds like a dumb question and perhaps it is but I must ask it. I purchased a 2nd hand Mustang amp the other day in great condition. I assumed it was a Mustang I and guess it is but when registering for FUSE it asking If have the Mustang V2. This is what I know for sure, I have the Mustang I v.2. So when FUSE ask's if I have the Mustang V2 what should my answer be LOL. It really shouldn't be this confusing but clearly I have the Mustang I but the 2 version of it. So does that qualify as the V2? Making matters worse, I looked this up on google and according to my research, the amp I have has all the physical characteristics of the V2 except it doesn't say Mustang II.

OK, so there were the original Mustang combo amps:

Mustang I, Mustang II, Mustang III, Mustang IV, Mustang V

Then Fender came out with a new version of Mustang combo amps and called them 'v2':

Mustang I v2, Mustang II v2, Mustang III v2, Mustang IV v2, Mustang V v2

So that made the older amps 'v1':

Mustang I v1, Mustang II v1, Mustang III v1, Mustang IV v1, Mustang V v1

Anyway, one easy way to tell v1 amps from v2 amps is by looking at the font used on the controls:
