I dunno, where is MusicLaw when you need him now <g>

I would email the developer (Robert) if no one chimes in; he may know.

I believe Remuda is optimized for 7" displays. The Fire comes with 7" or 8" display. It seems either would meet the requirements listed in the app description, if you have the correct adapter:

Requires Android version 3.0 or later and a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adapter/cable to connect your Tablet or Smartphone to the amplifier.

if you want to be sure, about the 8" screen, ask the app developer.

Thanks for the email link to the developer. Here is his reply to my question regarding compatibility with the Fire HD 8 tablet.

"I don't have any direct knowledge of compatibility BUT given that Amazon
adapts the Fire OS from Android and given the success we have had with other
Fire tablets I'm inclined to believe it will. I have a FREE Lite version of
the App for testing but it is only available on the Google play store.

The most common point of failure is the OTG adaptor itself. There are a
surprising number of bad adaptors out there for sale."

Based on his reply, I ordered the tablet today (got a great deal on one w/o advertisements for $65 on Prime day) along with an OTG adapter. I will let you know how it works. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Just curious, any particular reason you want the Kindle device specifically? Many other Android tablets outperform Kindle Fire at a lower cost and without the bastardized Android "Fire OS".

I received the Fire HD 8 tablet and installed Google Play, which took less than 5 minutes. Went to the Play Store and downloaded Remuda Lite to confirm it would connect properly to my MIII v2. It did, so I downloaded the full version Remuda. It works great!! Very nice app.

I'm happy that this worked as I had bought the Mustang GT100 back in May when they first came out, but after a couple Firmware updates and a month of playing with it, I returned it. Was not happy with the sound of the GT nor the poor performance of the Tone app. I'll keep my MIII with Remuda until Fender comes out with a GT v2.

That is my plan too.
