I have the Fender 3 s2 with Fender Fuse and pedals. This thing is so hard to figure out that I find myself fiddling about the computer and amp then I do actually playing my awesome guitar. I don't think the time spent on the amp and computer will improve my guitar playing. What do you all think?

I assume you mean you have a Fender Mustang 3 *Version*2. I disagree. Learning how to get a variety of great tones is a very important part of sounding good which is a *huge* motivator to want to practice and jam. Of course there is a balance of sorts but I think neither should be discounted.

Lots of bells and whistles.. yes. They are all part of what makes the Mustang such a versatile amp.

But if you find your self wandering in the weeds with various options and settings, then you are maybe over thinking things.

Find two or three "GOOD" sounds/presets for your ears/guitars, and just forget about all the rest. At some point you just gotta play the darned thing.

Yeah, I have just a few go to presets but dialing them in to make them sound really good at first takes a little time but truly benefits when you want to play all day because it sounds so dang good. I have improved immensely as a player since I bought my two Stangs and have been playing for decades with a ton of amps over the years. One other important caveat and I sound like a broken record but I can obtain great tone at lower volumes now. Huge! No HUGE! Say what?

that's exactly it I think, Spend the time getting those several "sounds" you're going for.

I have a III and a IV both version 1, and used fused to move the presets around

So is it possible to run M III and M IV in stereo on stage?

Well yea,,, kinda... :)

you could use an ABY switch or using something like a chorus or delay pedal infront of each amp.

Sorry, a Y-cable advice is not a satisfying answer,
'cause I might be loosing the opportunity
to employ an in-ear monitoring system either way.
Then I would have to rely on microphone-to the console
if you compare this at YouTube, it is not an option.

I repeat my question:

The M4 is a stereo amp in theory.
How do I get a stereo sound on stage?
By adding another amp on either side ?
And adding a roadie plus a pick-up truck ?
I've been there ! No, no, never again.

Then I can split one output and still have the option
of adding an in-ear monitor ?

An alternative I was thinking about:

Add an 8/12 - track console to the amps and you have enough of tracks for 2/X guitars, 1/X accoustics
and a synth in stereo,
plus house-PA-stereo outputs and in-ear-monitoring

One more piece of junk I was trying to avoid
when I purchased a Mustang IV V.2

Btw, sitting on a fat $@! and waiting for someone to come along to spread some money is not a comment
relying to the statutes of this site.

I did understand them rules as being a constructive
input to a question, not quirk some money out of an
aspiring musician...

what exaclty are you saying?

are you saying I'm trying to bilk you out of money?

not my intent, I was just suggesting one way to get stereo setup.

The M IV provides stereo only with in the amp itself, as it has two speakers and is wired as stereo..

I am pretty sure that's the extent of it. Fender did not provide a way to slave or link another amp. Be nice if they had, but they didn't

If you don't find the advice suits or helps, that's fine, there is no need make accusations. btw. an ABY box can be purchased for under 50 bucks. your proposed solution with a 8/12 channel console is a much more costly idea.

You don't have to use all the bells and whistles that are there. Find a patch or two you like... tweak those couple to your liking... then just focus on your awesome guitar.

However, if you had a non-modeling amp and a pedalboard with several pedals on it... it would be the same thing... you would have to dial in your tone with all of those individual real pedals and knobs. One of the many many great benefits of such a modeling amp is you can dial in a few (or many) different tones to your liking and get to each one with a single click of the foot switch where it might take much fiddling around to with real knobs on real pedals to dial back in a second or third tone you want.

So there are pluses and minuses... but don't feel like you need to tweak every patch and use every effect and model available. Start simple and slowly work your way up (one effect at a time) until you dial in the tone you want.

I've got 100 patches on my Mustang and I use about three... maybe four. Because I took the time to dial them in exactly like I want and those four tones are all I really need.

I am exactly referring to your site quirking out money
from an aspiring musician.
Your efford does not have any information in it,
I read it, besides getting money, think of it as as you may.
You did not show your web-adress again,
thus it is a simple try of fraud.
I will report you to the authoroties

To put things straight, I was going to quit any discussion
immediately.
Now, I found out, crooks are trying to take over any site.
This nigerian prince does not even know a guitar has some
6 strings nor your used equipment is worth more than 100 bucks.
C'mon, don't be a fool, practice, it will pay off later

It takes some efford to reach a certain goal, and,
as Arnold Schönberg once stated:

"It takes more than you wanna give".

Sorry, this is an E, W & Fire text

Now that I am an officer in charge, an amateur,
I tell all you people to just shut up and listen while I speak:

Anything here postulated by a so-called master is nonsense.

Where is proof, where is that kink on YouTube ?

Oh, there is a blues by Joe Pass, transcription available,
I am willing to spend the next 6 months to learn that tune...

This is all that matters right now

there is some thing wrong with you dude, and I have no idea what it is.

I was trying to help, and have a moderatly sane discussion with you,, this does not seem possible.

As the only response from you is ridiculous accusations and personal attacks.

I guarantee you that I've forgotten stuff about music, gear and instruments that you will never even know..

I've been working as a musician professionally for over 40 years, and playing for 50.

I aint got time or the patience for your silliness. You are a troll.. I will never again reply to one of your posts..

now, don't go away mad...

just...

go.. away...

have a nice day... dh..

[God this forum sucks sometimes]
