Thanks for reading. I don't currently own this amp, but I've narrowed down my search for a home practice amp to the Mustang I V2. But I have a question about it. I've read the website and manual and can't find a answer.

So, I understand that each 'voice' (57 DELUXE, 59 BASSMAN, etc) has 3 presets. I know that amber is factory presets (but can be changed with FUSE) and green and red are user presets.

I've read that there are more amps available on FUSE. So let's say, for example, I hate the sound of the 57 DELUXE voice. Can I change all 3 presets on the amp so that they are actually a different amplifier? So, for example, could I save 3 presets for 'BRITISH COLOR' in the 57 DELUXE presets. I know the amp would still have 57 DELUXE on it, as it's written on the amp, but as long as I knew what it was that would be fine. I don't want to have my amp always connected to my computer just to play the extra amplifiers available on FUSE.

Along the same lines, I know that FUSE has extra 'stompboxes' available like distortion, fuzz, etc. Can these be saved as an effect in the 'MOD' effects on the amplifier? So that I can add, for example, a fuzz pedal to any preset? Failing that, can a 'stompbox' be added to a preset? I would think if it's added to a preset I wouldn't be able to turn it on or off, but that would be fine. I could just have one preset saved specifically for a 'stompbox' I like in particular.

I hope that makes sense! Any help would be great.

Thanks

I had a really good search for the answer myself and eventually found this: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=54397

Hope this helps anyone else with a similar question.

Sorry Ashley, I have a Mustang III which doesn't work the same way as far as presets. Looks like you found what you were looking for. FWIW, the Mustang III isn't that expensive and is a lot more flexible than the Mustang I.

The first eight presets (amber) are the factory set ones, and the amp models and other settings can be changed by Fuse, or the amp controls while playing, but can't be saved into any of the 8 amber preset locations. Any sound you like (amp model, gain, tone, volume, effects) can be saved to any of the 8 green or 8 red locations. You could put the same amp model, effects, and settings into all sixteen if you wanted to, or sixteen different sounds, it's up to you what you put in any of those sixteen presets. Stompboxes can only be stored in any of the green or red locations, but can only be turned on and off and adjusted while playing from Fuse, not on the amp.
