New Mustang user here. I downloaded a bunch of presets and using Fuse imported them to my Mustang III V2 amp. Last night at rehearsal I altered a few of them. I saved them to the amp. I kept the names and the positions the same. What will happen when I re-synch the computer to the amp.

A - Will the new amp presets over ride the those in Fuse on my computer?
B - Will the computer presets over ride those on the amp?
C - Will the new amp presets remain on the amp and not transfer to the computer?
D - Something else?

Hello Harmonii and welcome to the forum..

By resync? do you mean reconnect the amp to the PC/Fuse?

A - Will the new amp presets over ride the those in Fuse on my computer?
Fuse reads the presets off the amp and displays them as it finds them in the User Interface. You can backup/restore your presets too, so you will always have a way back if something happens however.

B - Will the computer presets over ride those on the amp?
No, what's saved in the amp stays there, in the amp, until you re-save/change a particular preset.

C - Will the new amp presets remain on the amp and not transfer to the computer?
They stay there but you can save them to the your PC,, they will resinde in the fuse directory in program files (on Windows), if you do a full backup all the presets 00->99 are saved in that file, restoring restores everything.

For individual presets, save them so you have a way back to each preset you've tweaked to your own prefs.

D - Something else?

The only way that you can be assured to lose presets, is by doing a factory reset. That wipes out everything you have done. Saving the favorite presets on your PC, or backing the entire collection of presets frequently gives you a way back to all your settings should something occur that you need to do a Factory Reset for.

KidBlast is on the money.

I just want to add, you can create more than one backup. So you could create a backup before you make changes and then another after you make changes. Then if you find your changes weren't what you wanted, just restore the first backup to get back where you started.

Another scenario where this would be useful:
Say you played in a Country music band and also a Southern Rock band. You can create a whole set up presets for your Country band and then back it up. Then create a whole different set of presets for your Southern Rock band and back that up too. Now you restore the backup for whatever band you're playing with that night. It's a very flexible platform and that's one of the things I like most about these amps.
