February marks the 6th anniversary of my Mustang lV, so I try to return every year at this time with an update and review. Since purchasing this amp new back in February 2011, it has been a solid workhorse and still remains my favorite amp that I have in my stable. This amp still excites me and motivate me just as much now to play as it did when I purchased it new back in 2011. I have approximately 40 cover songs that I play through and each one is designated with its own preset that range anywhere from Ricky Nelson to the Rolling Stones. There's just so many amp choices and sound effects with this amp to ever get tired or bored of playing.

When not playing out live, I use my iPad for queuing up all my songs on YouTube which I connect directly to my smart TV. The TV is connected to a stereo with large speakers and suddenly, I'm in a somewhat live band setting at stage volume if I so choose :D Again, just a blast to play and a great motivator at keeping me interested in playing.

Cool pics and a great write up! Long may it continue...
Edit- loving the decor by the way - is that you shaking hands with a president in that photo frame?

Thanks for sharing musicmatty. I've had my III for about a year now and soon I'm going to buy a IV for band rehearsals and gigs. I got a good deal on the III and will be getting a good deal on the IV. So I will have 2 gig-able amps (1 for backup) for a grand total of 630 bucks. I love these amps. I don't even use my 5150 and Blues Jr anymore. The gig load in/out is going to be a breeze. And I'm sure the sound guy will love it when I show him the XLR in/out.

The III sounds great with my Tele. I also use a Les Paul and Strat and can dial up any tone I need for my cover band which covers a wide range of styles. I just got sick of buying pedals and lugging around the 100lb 5150.

Great choice!! A little FYI...My favorite amp set up is using the 65 Dlx paired with the 59 bassman cab.. adjust your tone settings to desired taste.

My other choice for amp set up is using the 59 bassman paired with the 65 Twin cab. Both set up’s will render you an unbelievable tone for thumping sound with a lot of bottom end which works well for playing live !

Tried out those settings this morning. Wow, that second one is awesome (59 Bassman with Twin cab). I've only heard it through headphones but will try without at rehearsal this weekend. Reminded me right away of The White Stripes so I named it Jack White. :D
