My understanding is that the 17 basic amp presets of the Mustang III can not be altered and saved in their original assigned locations (83 - 99) but must be saved in other preset locations. Is that correct ?

Every preset can be changed or written over

Each of the 100 Mustang Presets Memories (0 - 99) must always have an Amp Profile!

You may overwrite and effectively move any of them to any Memory slot you wish.

You may rename them as you wish.

The Factory Default Memory Presets (83 - 99), contain one each the Seventeen (17) Amp Profiles offered in Mustang models with firmware v.2. Each of these Presets (83-99) have all Four (4) of the FX Banks (Stomp, Mod, Delay, Reverb) set to "EMPTY".

The other Eighty-Three Memory Presets (00-83) contain Factory various examples of Presets configured in various ways using different settings of one of the 17 Amp profiles, and often in combination with one or more of the Four FX Banks occupied.

Also bear in mind that the Factory Amp Profiles and Available FX Bank items always come in from the selection menu with the same Factory values set for each Amp or FX. When you save a Preset you have the opportunity to adjust and save you customized values for any of the Amp's parameters and Advanced Amp paramters, as well as for any of the FX Bank parameters. Nonetheless, if you reselect any Amp or FX to compare against your existing Preset, the other Amp or FX you may select from the amp's firmware will always come in with the factory settings for that item! Simply reselecting your amp model from the firmware menu will also bring it back in with the factory default values. To get back to your custom values, simply change to the adjacent Preset (00-99) and then back to your custom preset.

If you use FUSE software the same situation applies.

If you use REMUDA Android App software, REMUDA remembers you prefered configurations for all your amps and FX!! This is a significant ease of use aspect for REMUDA, along with several other REMUDA features for easily comparing and auditioning different configurations of Amps, FX, and Presets.
