I just got my Mustang 3, and it's a great amp. One annoying thing, though. Every time it is turned on, it always goes to memory location 00.
How can I make it recall the memory position I was using when I turned it off, so I can just turn it on and immediately continue working with the same settings.
Its really annoying, that you have to find the last used memory location and the last used settings every time you want to take a break or if the power is lost during a session on stage.
I wish there was a way I could set it to recall the complete status upon power up. Even if I haven't saved the settings, it should just continue with the modified and not yet saved settings. It should simply wake up with the exact same status it had when it was turned off.

The Mustang always power up to Memory Slot 00.

You should place (i.e Save) your base or most used Preset configuration in Preset Memlry 00.

The only method I know of work around the above is to use the Android REMUDA App. REMUDA allows a Mustang user you to specify any single Memory Preset location as the Preset to which the Mustang will switch immediatley after power on. REMUDA also remembers the settings of every parameter of an amp profile and FX profile. Thus, when you recall that Amp Profile or FX from the selection menus they come in with your settings rather than the Fender Factory defaul settings.

This is about as close as you can get to those ideal operational features you mentioned.

that's just the way the amp operates. Default setting is 00... most of us do just as musiclaw advises, find your own favorite setting for 00, and save it there. I do what many Mustang owners have done, take the first 5 or 6 program slots, and put your more usable / edit presets there. Some of the facotry presets are absolute rubbish, so move "usable" one there for safe keeping, and free up the program slots you think you will need.

out of the 100 presets, I think I took a half dozen and tweaked em to what I wanted, the rest, I don't use.
(personally I don't think anyone could actually need or use any where near 100 presets)...

I know that this is the way the amp operates, but I was hoping for some hidden advanced programming features, or maybe a programmers backdoor.

Anyway, I appreciate your replies. I am new here, but this seems like a great board. Lots of knowledge and lots of helpful people.

Thanks guys
