Hi guys, will there be an upgrade to the Mustang series - maybe version 3? If so when and what will be the upgrades?
Thanks in advance - a very happy Mustang 3 v2 owner.

Fender doesn't disclose what they're working on and what's going to be released, but my bet is that the Mustang is as dead as door nail.
There have been no updates for several years now, and the technologies behind FUSE are either deprecated (Silverlight) or something PC manufacturers try to get rid of due to reoccurring security issues (Flash).

And two of the Mustang models have already been discontinued, with no replacement.

Will there be another Fender branded modeling amp? Probably. But I don't think it will be called Mustang or have all that much in common with it, except perhaps grille cloth and knob design.

Yes, this is Classified information where Fender is going with their Modeling amps. Nobody seems to know and I am sure it is a trade secret because many companies are doing modeling now. Even back 16 years ago when the Cyber Twin came out they were experimenting with change and the Cyber Twin was not a modeling amp but different from everything else and not that I ever wanted one.

I agree, if they come out with something special it will not be called a Mustang and it will most assuredly have some serious DSP to stay competitive. I think the Mustang line made them a lot of money and still is, but this is just based on speculation on how they sound, still being sold everywhere, and their price point. With a five year warranty I would be breathing much easier if I were Fender because the Stangs have held up really well if you read the reviews and commentary.
