Received adapter and am now using Remuda on my tablet. Is there a user manual for this? When Remuda starts it mentions bluetooth. I need to NOT use that I guess. I had to restart Remuda because the presets on the tablet weren't changing when I changed them using the knob on the amp. Other issues as well that were resolved by restarting and using the USB connection. I do have some questions that a user manual would cover or I can just play with it.

Remuda seems to use an H instead of the #. Good. Never understood the # anyway.

Jack. First thing is the complete help document that is available in the App on the Action menu. Look for the three dots at the top of the screen or the three line symbol used on some Android OS.

As for the Bluetooth screen popping up. That is a mistake and I am readying a new version right now. I have another user that had Bluetooth disabled and he alerted me to my error (among others). I think that the USB issue may have to do with the Bluetooth being started and aborted BUT I am keeping an eye on that. Expect new version tonight.
Robert.

The Remuda is working great on my tablet using the USB cable. The only issue I can see that might be a problem for some is since I'm using the charging port on the tablet to connect to the amp I can't keep it plugged in to maintain a charge. For me no problem at all if I can't use my tablet when charging. But using bluetooth would eliminate this problem. But, and I'm really in the dark about this, does the amp have bluetooth capability? My tablet can talk to my phone because they both have bluetooth. Is the tablet supposed to communicate with the amp using bluetooth? I've seen bluetooth devices with a standard USB connector to give pc's bluetooth capability. Is there something like that for these amplifiers?

1) Battery life while running USB host is an issue that can be resolved by buying an OTG adapter that allows power to be "injected". Google "powered USB OTG adaptors" for some examples. I personally do not have one.
2) The Mustang amps DO NOT support bluetooth. The current Remuda Remote capability requires you to use two Android devices. One device acts as the server and that device must be connected to the Amp via USB. The other device connects to the server using bluetooth and that is the device that you control. Both devices run Remuda.
3) I am planning on coming up with a dedicated piece of hardware for the Remuda Remote server. BUT if you have seen a Bluetooth to USB Transceiver, I'd be interested in getting a link to it. The only one that I know of is specifically for Bluetooth keyboards and Bluetooth mice.
4) Using Bluetooth on your controlling device can be a solution to the battery problem. In testing I find that Bluetooth allows me about double the battery life. I use my tablet with its big battery as the server and my phone as the controller. Works great.
Regards. Robert

I have two android devices. Tablet and phone. I tried to put Remuda on my phone but the phone isn't compatible with Remuda. So two android devices isn't an option for me. If/when I ever get the phone replaced, Remuda compatability will be on the checklist of features I'm looking for. I searched the USP adapters and found the Inatek company. I emailed them my situation to see if they have anything that will allow using USB devices as well as charging at the same time.

Here are pictures of the Bluetooth adapter USP thing I bought. I bought it thinking I would be able to transfer files from the tablet to the computer without a cable. I never got it to work it wasn't a big deal so I just quit messing with it. But plug this into a USB port on a pc and your bluetooth devices can communicate with the PC just like another phone that is close by.

How do I post pictures here? Can it be done right from this forum or do I need something like photobucket?

I used photobucket.

I think you can see "bluetooth" written on this picture.

Jack. That device is designed to give your PC the ability to communicate via Bluetooth. It doesn't actually convert USB to Bluetooth it is more like the old adapter cards that had to be plugged into the PC bus back in the old days. Think of it as more of a network adapter (in this case the network is Bluetooth) than a real USB to Bluetooth transceiver. I have some single board computers on their way and i will be experimenting with a dedicated hardware solution for the server. Regards.

Sounds good.

I haven't worked for about 10 years but used to work on computers, printers, network connectivity, and such. This reminds me of the PCMCIA cards for laptop computers. Modems, NICs, etc. Do you know what the acronym PCMCIA stands for? It means "People Can't Memorize Comuter Interface Acronyms. :)
