I used my Mustang I several months ago with the fuse software. I haven't used this amp in a while and in the meantime I have a new computer. I'm running Windows 7. Now the message "No amplifier connected" message is in the bottom left corner of the FUSE window. I called and was sent a link for troubleshooting this problem. Nothing I did worked. I'm pretty sure I did every step correctly. I tried different USB ports on my computer that I know work for other things. I called Fender again and they are sending me a new USB cable. I can only find one cable in my house with a connector that will fit in the USB port on the amp. All my other cables fit my phone, tablet, etc. So I'm assuming the cable I'm using with my amp is the one that came with it. I should have stored the cable with the amp while not using it. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it? Any help is appreciated.

Do you still have your old computer to test? It is a stretch but you might try a system restore on your new computer because something could have got corrupted. How far back you would restore it is a question of when you started to install Fuse on new computer and then restore right before. Sometimes a Microsoft System Update will break things and Fender isn't focusing on the Mustang line and software and if they are it must be top secret. Good luck!

Thank you for the restore suggestion. I tried it and it didn't work. I wasn't surprised because the "new" computer is actually 1.5 or 2 years old. I got the parts from Newegg and put it together with the plan of it being my wife's new computer. For one reason or another she never started using it. So for at least 1.5 years nothing has been installed on it except Windows 7 and MS Office. FUSE was the first program I put on it so I didn't think a restore would help. OTOH, sometimes you end up trying something you don't think will work but it does. This happens when I start getting desperate not knowing what else to try. :)

Fender had promised to send me a new USB cable and I was SUPER SHOCKED when it arrived at my house the day after (I think) I started this thread. They must have paid 3 times what the cable cost for shipping just to get it to me that fast. Anyway, I connected the amp to the computer and everything worked perfectly. As soon as I turned the amp on drivers started loading like you should see. So thanks FENDER for sending me (for free) the new cable and getting it here so fast.

On a side note, not having the FUSE software running gave me time to become more familiar with using just the knobs on the amp to configure presets. I reset all the presets to the factory settings then changed 4 presets to my liking. It was interesting to see the results in the FUSE software. The biggest drawback to using the FUSE software is if I go somewhere with nothing to run the software on I'd need the manual to refer too. Also without having the flexibility of changing the amp type on a given preset you can be limited. Still, even without any software the Mustang seems to be a very flexible amp. I bought this amp almost a year ago and while using it there was some conversation here regarding apps for the Mustang line that work on tablets and phones. I may check into that. I'm retired now and don't take my guitar (or amp) anywhere. But if I did I'd want an app on a mobile device. What's the latest word on apps for Android to configure the Mustang amps? I'll do some searching but any suggestions are appreciated. If I continue to use the Mustang I'd rather be accustomed to using an app on my phone or tablet so when away from home I won't need to "figure out" how to use an app I'm unaccustomed to. I installed an app on my tablet months ago and remember liking what I saw but I didn't use it much because I had already become used to the FUSE software. Now my grandson is the only one who uses the tablet. He's 6 years old and is as used to electronic devices and computers as I was used to my tinker toys when I was six. :) Anyway, I did a factory reset on the tablet so he could use it AND NOT ACCIDENTALY SPEND $50 (again) on a game because I had told the tablet to remember my passwords. There was a lot of other "junk" installed on the tablet as well. So the app for the Mustang is gone.

Talking too much. Should be playing my guitar. :)

No worries! Simply (re)install the latest version of the REMUDA Android App from the Google Play Store. REMUDA brings full control of the Mustang to your Android device, including easily changing the Amp Profile of a Preset, and much more....

Just last weekend, REMUDA was updated with an entirely new all in one Amp and FX Control Screen. This new "Preset" screen significantly improves REMUDA's ease of use!

The Free REMUDA Lite version is limited only in that it is restricted to the first Eight (8) Presets on the Amp. If you previously bought REMUDA, the Google Play Store should recognize your email address and provide installation of the Full Version. If not, (and you did previously buy it) email the Developer.

A USB OTG (On The Go) adapter is needed to connect your Android's micro USB jack to the larger USB connector at the end of Fender's cable (or a USB Extension cable). However, even without the OTG, launching the App gives access to the comprehensive Help Doc.

Particularly for the Mustang I and Mustang II (which lack the LCD Display found on the higher end Mustangs) using REMUDA is very helpful!

Remuda, that's it. I tried installing it on my phone and got a message that my phone (Samsung Core Prime) is incompatible. I'll re-install it on my tablet. It's a Samsung also but will run Remuda or did before. I remember having the adapter for the mini USB connector on the tablet because there were no bluetooth keyboards that would work on the tablet. I had to buy the USB adapter to use a keyboard with a USB cable. Of course I don't know where that adapter is now. :) I'm sure to find it I'll need to be looking for something else. It's amazing how much cool stuff you find when you are looking for something else. :)

I stopped typing for a minute to search for Remuda on my tablet and install the Lite version. I found two versions. One was "Lite" and the other was the full program I assume. I tapped it to see how much it costs. Evidently I paid for it before because I had two options. "Update" or "Uninstall". So I updated it. So now I need to find the USB adapter. I'm a bit confused because I did the factory reset on the tablet but now I'm not sure when I did that compared to when I bought Remuda. Maybe it was included in the Google backup I have running. That has saved my butt twice on my phone. Having apps restored with saved settings and such.

So I'll be good to go when I find the adapter. :)

Thanks for your help.

Jack

Cool!

Launch the App and click the button to browse the Help Doc. It may not have existed when you last viewed the App.

When you find the OTG adapter you'll be rock'in!

This thread back again because of re-installing Remuda on my table. This was discussed but my problem now is reinstalling Remuda (again). I set the tablet software back to factory defaults and this time when I tried to reinstall Remuda I didn't get the option to "upgrade" or "uninstall". I installed the Lite version but when I try to install the other version it want's $7.99 which I think I paid for already (but not 100% sure). Can anyone help me to make sure I did pay for this in the past? I already contacted Samsung as I thought maybe it was a backup/restore issue. They connected me with the Google Play Store. They were contacting the Remuda company (Triton Interactive I think) but we got disconnected. I never did find my adapter to connect the tablet to the amp so I ordered another this morning. Now I have the Lite version of Remuda on my tablet. But, The lady at the Play Store thinks the full version is actually the same as the Lite version.

My options are as I see it (after I get the adapter in the mail):

1. Use the Lite version to see if it has full capability

2. Just pay $7.99 again for the full version for my tablet

Does anyone know how I can find out if I paid for the version in the past? Triton Interactive (Remuda owner???) looks like there are only 3 programs they have and none are Remuda.

Any help is appreciated.

Jack

Jack, if you have logged your tablet into the Google Play Store using the same account as you originally used, all of your prior App installations (Free and Paid) will reinstall to your tablet. This works even if you have multiple devices all logged into the Play Store with the same account.

As for REMUDA if you previously bought the Paid version, I am confident REMUDA'S Developer: Robert, "reh" here on the Forums) will get you set up. If you have not done so already, send him an email from the link on the Google Play Store REMUDA App page, or a PM using the system here on the Fender Forums.

Once you get your OTG adapter, you'll be able to see if the Free version suits your needs and if the Full Version would be useful for you, especially if you have already paid for it!

Moreover, reh has already posted here that he is working on a soon to be released update to REMUDA supporting Bluetooth connectivity!

Jack. The only way I can look up an order is by the Order number. This is a 17 digit value starting with GPA. You would have received it addressed to the gmail account under which you made your purchase. As other posters have suggested, make sure you are looged in to the play store with your regular Google account. That is how Google keeps track of the Apps you have already purchased. BTW I put Remuda on sale for 4.95 last night if that helps. And for the record, the Lite version will NOT convert to the full version.
Regards, Robert.

I uninstalled the Lite version and bought the regular Remuda just now. So, I'll be playing with it when I get the USB adapter that I need for the tablet. About backup and restore I don't know what happened. I'm sure I'm using the same gmail account. No worries though. I'm still not convinced I paid for the software to begin with. I have had a gmail account for the tablet and another for my phone. One has a "t" in the name and the other has a "p" added to my normal email address I use which has been with Yahoo since about the beginning of the internet. So I never even look at the email in the google accounts. I do use the contacts though. I have both accounts on my phone so I can access them if I need them. For a year or two my grandson is the only one using my tablet. I want to use it for the amp and that's all for now. I hope my grandson let's me borrow it. :)

Thanks for the help.

The Google Play App Store only cares (knows about) the email account you use to login to GPAS with.

You should be good to go as soon as your OTG cable arrives.

BTW, if you happen to have two Android devices, REMUDA now supports Bluetooth wireless operation of the Mustang Amps!

I may have missed it but I looked briefly in the book for the amp and didn't see any bluetooth capability. How does an android device connect to the amp using bluetooth?

I have a Mustang I amp.

There wasn't any until this bright humanoid (Dev) made it happen. I am trying to figure and sort it out as well.

Received adapter and am now using Remuda on my tablet. Is there a user manual for this? When Remuda starts it mentions bluetooth. I need to NOT use that I guess. I had to restart Remuda because the presets on the tablet weren't changing when I changed them using the knob on the amp. Other issues as well that were resolved by restarting and using the USB connection. I do have some questions that a user manual would cover or I can just play with it.

Remuda seems to use an H instead of the #. Good. Never understood the # anyway.
