I am using my Mustang Floor with Fender Blues Jr. III, or intend to. Since the Blues, Jr., does not have a "clean channel" is the best way to use this combo to just use the effects on the Mustang Floor. Should I just leave the "Amp" section on the Floor empty? Get my tones out of the Blues, Jr. And then add in Overdrive and Delay etc to get the tone I want?

For some high kicks and wide grins. Set the Fender Blues Jr. lll as flat and as clean as possible and then plug your Floor in. That should open up a world of possibilities. I like my Floor? 8)

HIO, thanks for your response. You are the only one that did. I appreciate what you are saying and have played with that. But actually what I think I want to do could be considered just the opposite. I have a good tube amp. So I want to take advantage of that. I want to go for that "unadulterated" sound of my tube amp and just use the Floor for the pedals. I was just curious what anyone thought of that or if anyone had used it that way.

I had a floor a few years back, mostly for headphone practice but once in awhile I would plug into a friend's amp. I always turned off the amp modeling and just used it as a pedalboard. I would probably still be using the floor if it were possible to use a looping pedal with it.

The only negative I can think of with doing it the way you're describing is that you would be limited to the tone of the one amp you have, instead of the multitude of tones that the Mustang can produce. If you like it, and don't want to use the tones of any of the other modeled amps, that's great.

Your Blues Jr. will color the tone of your Floor's amp models. You have no choice but to run the Floor thru the BJr's guitar input.

The Floor will work better with an amp that has an effects loop so you can bypass the pre-amp and just use the power amp.
