Having to play thru headsets at home and finally getting to crank it bit. I've noticed a couple thangs.
1. The cabinet settings mean a lot more live.
2. Depending on the headset freq response, the speaker really opens up the sound particularly on the bottom, expected.
3. Distorted sounds have less of the digital artifact that caused me to question buying the amp in the first place from reviews on the web.
4. There is a lot more playing to be done to hone down the distorted and mod tones. First just a nice bluesy old school noted for Fender amps like my Concert. That was rather easy. But using the users templates is harder than I thought. Not that I don't appreciate them, many don't do the description justice....it takes a lot tweaking. Everybody hears differently and most definably the room is important.

Anyone using headsets, suggestions on reasonably priced wide frequency response to use? I do realize a good headsets have two zeros, not one.

The Sony MDR-V6 (often avail for about $50 when marked down on sale) are hard to beat! They're essentially the same as the Sony MDR-7506. Both have been a studio and live touring standard for decades in Film, Recording, and more.

I have a bunch of the older school versions of those and have had to replace the Ear Pad / Ear Cushion / Ear Cups/ Ear Cover or whatever the heck you call those things on all of mine.

Yeah. The foam and vinyl parts don't last forever. Nonetheless, they're readily available, inexpensive and easy to replace.

Better response than my Sennheiser HD 280 pro, 8hz0 25k. A lower rating which should improve my experience. Sony is 5hz to 30k. Trying to setup a template for headphone and speaker for each style I normally use, makes it difficult with the headset struggles to fill in the sound. About the same $ Also about the same money and freq response, Audio Technica ATH-AD700X . For that kind of money it doesn't seem any other compares.

Thx again.

Yes it is just the *Earpads* and inexpensive to replace. In my post it almost sounded like more things.
