Granted, I could sound amazing with the powered monitors, but then I have to carry those, too.

The Mustang Floor plus powered monitors might be more your speed.

But for some unknown crazy reason, they seem to have discontinued the Mustang Floor. I don't understand this decision, a LOT of people seemed to be having success with that rig. Must have been a sales decision.

Truly a shame that Fender discontinued the Mustang Floor well over a year ago. Even more dissapointing, is that Fender has yet to announce nor introduce any succeessor to the original Mustang Floor, offering a more advanced state of the art guitar amp processor to position Fender in the market ahead of Line 6's Helix, Fractal's FX-II XL, etc.

I love my Mustang Floor. Really really versatile. Cannot say enough good things about it so I won't try.

The Floor plus powered monitors would have been a very viable option for me if Fender could have been bothered with a Floor v2.

And, on the subject of pedalboards: no, with this amp, I don't really NEED a pedalboard, but I love stacking my ODs and a clean boost is the one thing my Mustang doesn't really have (although the onboard compressor or generic OD can be made to do a reasonable impersonation).
