Well, Im the brand new owner of a Mustang II v2. Talk about options... Confusing... Trying to make sense of all the options and what is the stomp feature how do I use it and how do I get to it.

I'll have many questions here as I dig into what this amp can do.

Thanks for any assistance..

T

Congratulations, Tom!

These Forums are terrific for quick information and have a vast accumulation of information. Sometimes you need to dig deep down into the older pages of threads.

Also be sure to see the http://fender-mustang-amps-and-fuse.wikia.com/wiki/Fender_Mustang_Amps_and_Fuse_Wiki! It was created by a new user last winter confronted with absorbing all the information out there about the Mustangs.

Stomp is short for Stomp box. Each of the Mustang III's 100 Presets can have up to Four (4) Effect Banks configured. The easiest way to access any of the FX banks is to Press and Hold the respective button (Stomp, Mod, Delay, Reverb) on the amp. This displays that FX's edit screen on the amp's LCD. Turn the Data Wheel to select from the choices available in each FX bank.

Read Fender's Getting Started and Advanced User Guides, both available as PDFs from Fender's website, for the Mustang III. These will provide a basic understanding. For an even better overall concept of how and what to do, be sure to read the wikia!

Also be sure to post any questions here to the Forums.

Your title says Mustang III, but your post says Mustang II v2.

The difference is significant. The Mustang III (and higher) allows you to configure almost all the virtual effect pedals ("stomp boxes") from the amp itself, while the Mustang II (and lower) requires connection to a remote PC or phone, and use of software on the remote side to configure.

So, which one is it?

tom- I have the mustang lll v2 myself. I bought it over a year ago and think it is a great little amp. it will take you a while to get into everything it can do, but what a fun journey. I have a nice tube amp I play out with, but if I ever needed a backup amp, I wouldn't hesitate to take it out with me.

I am essentially a new owner of the Fender Mustang III in white. I find the amp to be very easy to use, versatile in that it provides an array of different tones for all guitarist to find their sound. The Fuse software proves to be an indispensable tool to use in shaping the right sound for the right situation. Lots of presets and more that can be found online to download where you can simply build your own sounds from. It is very loud, crisp and clear with a 12" Celestion speaker in there, can easily take on a full band with large drum set and bass amp stack.

White is a very elegant color distinguishable from the other amp on stage that are typically black. An all around amp that goes from casual bedroom practicing to garage band rehearsals to studio recordings to live venue performances! Proud to be an owner.

Congratulations! There have been a few threads about keeping the white amps Clean and free from Scuffing, etc. Post back to let everyone know. They certainly do look sharp!

Also if you have an Android Tablet or Smartphone check out the REMUDA App!

I have reviewed the phone apps, I prefer the Fuse running on my MS Surface 3 laptop/tablet. Makes for simple yet total control of the amp on Windows 10 Pro touchscreen computer sitting right on top. Looks nice too as if having a rack system on top of the amp, well almost.

Still going through all the presets and few downloaded from community working to get 6 configured to my liking that will cover tones for different situations;
1- clean (sort of an acoustic-electric guitar)
2- overdrive (alla Crazy Train - Mr. Crowley)
3- clean with chorus & delay (like intro to Ozzy Killer of Giants)
4- overdrive with chorus & delay (for a lead tone)
5- clean flanger (always liked a flanger with clean channel)
6- overdrive flanger (great for rhythm parts)

Once I find the right ones and custom tweak, I will save them and they will be my set tones to rehearse and perform with.
