I have the Mustang 4 v.2 While playing, the amp will suddenly switch from preset 2 to 3 or 3 to 4. I have a two button and 4 button pedal attached. Any ideas why this happens?

Does it happen when the Foot switches are not connected, do you have one of the ft switches set up to do preset changes if so which one... could be a defect in that particular switch.

Turn off your amp. Unplug the switches from their cables and their cables from the amp. Check the cables and plugs for continuity (i.e. no shorts) using a multimeter. Then reconnect them one at a time to your amp and reconfigure each one in the Util Menu. This will help isolate if any of those 4 items (2 cables, 2 fsw units) may have a fault. One of the switches or jacks in the in either fsw, could have an intermittent fault.

If you amp auto switches presets w/o any pedals attached, do a factory reset on your amp.

I'm presuming you do not simultaneously have your amp connected via USB either to FUSE or REMUDA when the preset switching is occurring? [Note: the REMUDA App has a Performance Mode that does auto switch footswitch QA assignments as you change Songs in your REMUDA SetList.]

I do have the amp connected to Fuse in my computer. All the cables seem to be OK. I recently did a factory reset to clear all the old presets. I bought the amp used. The problem has not happened in the last few days. I did update the amp softwear.

I've had the same thing happen during live performance on a few occasions. I think the Mustang DSP logic is overly sensitive to power line issues (noise and sag). If you have a bass player with a Class-D amp (and most are nowadays), try to avoid plugging in to the same extension cord or circuit. Class-D amps are very reactive power loads and can induce some wild stuff on the AC mains.
