All Mustang III/IV/V users are familiar with the LCD Display showing the Preset Number, Preset Name, Amp Name and FX configured for the currently selected Preset. This is the primary display the Amp shows after completing the power on sequence. Rotating the Data Wheel changes to another Preset.

Momentarily pressing the Data Wheel changes the display showing Six (6) button knob graphics depicting the precise values for Gain, Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, and Reverb and the Preset Name and Number. Pressing the Data Wheel again, changes the display to show the FX Signal Processing Chain with Preset Name and Number.

What I had not realized was that the LED display stays in the last display mode selected as you change from Preset to Preset, regardless, if rotating the Data Wheel, or, the 4 button footswitch Mode 1 (Quick Access Presets) or Mode 2 (Navigation Presets) are used!

This conveniently allows instant viewing the selected Preset Amp's virtual knob parameter values, or alternatively, the Preset's FX Signal Processing Chain! Tapping the Data Wheel again returns to the primary FX configuration display with Preset Name and Number.

Until now, when not using the REMUDA Android App to control the Mustang, I had mainly used the LCD in its primary start up mode (showing FX configuration) and tapped the Amp button to display and edit the Amp values. It was a new discovery (for me) that the Mustang allows leaving the LCD in the Amp values or Signal Chain display mode!

If you haven't used your Mustang III/IV/V this way, give it a try.

yea, I noticed this too, it is handy with only LCD usage..

since I got a real long usb cable (online from Monoprice for like $1.89), and since I always use my laptop w/backing tracks whilst jamming, I just keep fusing running all the time. I've gotten quite used to this.. could be a problem! :)

It's astounding that I hadn't noticed this previously! These at a glance knobs make using the Mustang even more enjoyable. :D

A "champagne" problem. If my Mustangs were nearer to my computer (they're in different rooms) I might use FUSE more often as its graphic UI nicely accents using the Mustang. I have a 32' USB cable (with active repeater electronics) to make the connection, but it's cumbersome with the gear in separate rooms.

Thanks for the tip I will check that out, I've seen that a few times while editing but never thought much about it or how it got in that mode.
