No, I don't have active pickups. I have Gibson BurstBuckers
Anyway, the problem has been partially identified... it's not the amp and it's not a cable, it's a guitar :( I hope it's something easy and cheap to fix :(

Is it the same with both pickups? Is it the same with the pickup selector switch in all three positions?

If it happens with both pickups, then it's something in the signal path from the switch to the output jack.

I would start off by checking the output jack. Is it corroded? Is the hot connector bent? Loose wires or cold solder joint? Next I'd check the pickup switch. Is it dirty? Loose wire?

Take a test lead and bypass the volume pots, then the tone pots. Heck, try jumping around the switch while you've got it open.

A quick 5 minute once-over should narrow it down to the culprit. Depending on what the problem is, you're looking at having to spend anywhere from $0.00 to $5 or $6.

It's the same for both pickups and in all postion. I have noticed new thing, tone color on guitar has no effect. Jack seems to be ok, but I'm layman it will be problem for me to check those thins you mention. Also I don't know english terminology :P I think I will go to the electric service

I am having the same issue...no volume on any setting after my Mustang III is powered up for 3 minutes. This is a new amp purchased about 6 months ago. The most frustrating part is the Fender support site does not have any troubleshooting guides and the search function on the we site doesn't do much. I am very technical and would like to troubleshoot first before going to a service/repair facility and spend a lot of money and time getting this fixed. Maybe it is time to kick it to the curb and buy another brand with better reliability and technical support...

well that sucks.....

Fender has pretty much cut the mustang line loose, so when it comes to the things your looking for, it's non-existent.. but you do have a 5 year warranty if you can find a service center.

Good luck!
