I have purchased Remuda, but have not done a whole lot with it yet. Just wanted to say that it is impressive to see a developer take the time to communicate with users, and actually address their concerns. Music Law, thanks to you also for the informative Remuda posts.
Fender, are you paying attention here?

Glad to be of help.

Remuda is very intuitive, even though there are some less obvious features. Post if you have questions, so all may share in the learning.

Each update nicely advances the App and introduces new and improved features. There are some very cool ones in the pipeline.

Since discovering Remuda late last Summer, the feature set has expanded nicely. With each update the enjoyment I get from my two Mustangs grows!

If you have any feature suggestions and ideas, get them to Remuda's Developer. He welcomes the input.

Just a heads up to Remuda users. I ditched Android Lollipop today and am now roasting Marshmallow on my HTC One M8 smart phone and Remuda is working flawlessly and looks really good. Marshmallow is a great upgrade as well.

If you own a Mustang, I encourage you to test drive Remuda and see what is under the hood. Set Lists, songs, and presets along with backing tracks you might have on your phone or tablet, etc. Editing patches is a breeze now and having all of your presets available to you on the armrest of your favorite couch or chair is the bomb.

I have a couple questions about REMUDA:

I buy cheap Android phones, because I have horrible luck with Smart phones. I buy one a year at least.
Has anyone tried REMUDA on a less than S.O.A. phone?
Is there a O.S. requirement to run it?
Can I run it from a laptop, thinkpad, notebook, or other device?
Is it free?
THANKS!

Hi GUS,

Remuda requires Android version 3.0 or later and a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adapter/cable to connect your Tablet or Smartphone to the amplifier.

You can try out the lite version for free to see if it works here.

Gus:

REMUDA is available for Android devices (Smartphone or Tablets) running Android 3.0, or later. It requires a USB OTG (On The Go) adapter cable to connect the (Fender provided or your equivalent) USB cable to your smartphone or tablet. Not all USB cables are wired identically! Some only charge devices. Some are fully data compliant. Be sure you use a proper fully capable cable!

There is a REMUDA Lite available for free to confirm it works for you. The full version is under $8.

I have it running on all my Android devices, the oldest of which is a 2014 Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. It works well on a phone, but is fantastic on the bigger displays of a 8.4" and 12.2" tablets. Once your devices are registered to your Google Play store account, Remuda may be installed to each device. Should you opt to buy the full version there is only a one time cost.

From the Google Play store....

Quote:
This Lite version of Remuda is provided free so that you can check for compatibility. The Lite version will only allow you to edit the first 8 presets on your amplifier. All other features are identical to the full Version.

Like the full version, it is a complete editing and control application for your Fender Mustang amplifier. Provides complete "deep" editing of all Presets, Effects, and Amplifiers. Direct mode allows drag and drop re-ordering of presets. Performance mode lets you build a complete "set list" of song-by-song Presets, with multiple presets per song. Requires Android version 3.0 or later and a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adapter/cable to connect your Tablet or Smartphone to the amplifier.

- For Fender Mustang I, II,III, IV, and V (v.1 & v.2) and Mustang Floor series amplifiers.
- Requires USB OTG adapter/cable for connection to amplifier.
- Drag & Drop preset re-ordering.
- Preset deep editing. Edit all parameters of all effects and amplifier simulations.
- Edit the Preset Signal Chain using Drag & Drop
- Performance Mode designed for gigging musicians. Set up complete "sets" of multiple Presets.
- Dynamic mapping of Quick Access presets in performance mode.
- Performance Mode and Direct modes can be "locked" to avoid "fat finger" errors.
- Effect "Memory" remembers how you like your effects and amplifiers to be set when added to a Preset.
- Preset and Performance Back up and Restore.

I went to "Google Play Store" and searched remuda. The only thing that came up was a golf course game.
I type in "fender fuse", and I get two apps for "Fix My Truck". One free, one paid.
Is there a secret to how you find the app?
I use a pre-paid Vorizon phone. At first, I thought maybe they had somehow blocked paid apps, but, one of the "Fix My Truck" apps was paid.

Anyone else had this problem?

It is there on the Google Play App Store!

Make sure you are using the genuine Google Play Store App to search! Not some Verizon bundled, branded, configured app nor browser that may not be set for the Google search engine!

Or just click here for Remuda Lite: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... lite&hl=en

Or click here Remuda Full Version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... -AHci7rACQ

Another possibility is your device may not be compatible. However, the last time I saw that message displayed on an app's description page was years ago. Google does change things all the time.

Remuda has just been updated to version 1.5 bringing Four (4) significant new features!

Remuda now works with .FUSE files! This allows users to exchange and share Presets! Remuda reads .FUSE files you place in your Android's ...Music/Remuda/Presets folder. Remuda now automatically creates a .FUSE format file in the same folder each time you Edit and Save a Preset in Remuda. These you may place in your computer's FUSE presets directory for upload to the Fuse Online User Community or emailing to others.

Remuda also now lets users set your own Power-up Preset choice! This provides an alternative agile method to moving your preferred Preset to your Amp's 00 memory slot. You designate your chosen Power-up Preset in Remuda's Setting.

Remuda now supports the Mustang Tuner! Activate/deactivate the Tuner from Remuda, your Amp, or 4btn button footswitch, and Remuda displays a vivid large colorful Tuner.

Helping the user fully understand how to do eveything is Remuda's new Help System! Touch the Help Button and it's all explained clearly and concisely. And, this Help System works even when your Android device is offline. So you can read it anytime! Even when your device is not connected to your Amp!

There are more features in the works! So let the developer know your suggestions, comments, and input by posting to Remuda's Google Play App Store page, emailing him, or by posting here on the Forums.

Just wondering; the tuner can now be used in Remuda. Can that maybe mean the developer could help us all out by making the Fuse compressor and a Fuse distortion stomp box of our choice be used together????
Fingers crossed (Only on the picking hand!)

The Google Play Store indicates the Tuner feature was fixed in the June 15 release. Install the recent build if need be.

I do not know if the Mustang's USB protocols supoort the Compressor being isolated to allow any other Stomp Bank FX to be enabled simultaneously. You would need to email the question and suggestion to REMUDA's developer!

As a similar workaround, the Advanced Amp features of each modeled amp profile (excluding Basic Studio Preamp) used in each Preset in the Mustang has SAG, BIAS, and Noise Gate parameters. When configured to your taste, these can achieve a Compressor effect. These are not global settings and must be set and Saved for each Preset! REMUDA helps as it remembers your last used amp and fx parameter settings. Neither, the amp itself nor fuse do this.

I don't think so. FUSE and Remuda both are just control applications, they can't make the device do anything that it cannot do itself.
I.e. the USB protocol just tells the amp "use this effect in that position with these parameters". It can't create new effects.

Thanks "ChrisH1" would be cool if it could somehow. I emailed the developer also, but have not heard anything back yet.
