Is there a way to modify the 4 button footswitch to change 4 presets?
In other words: make button 1 select preset instead of mode or tuner?

If that's impossible, how can I disable it all together?
Only by disconnecting the switch 1?
I hate it when I step on switch 1 by accident. It screws everything up, especially live.

That's for Mustang 3 (v.1).

No. The Mustang firmware only lets you define three QA presets.

Yes. For a quick and dirty, but reversible solution, you could just drill a hole in a small block of wood and put that over the switch.

You can go into the Utility menu and lock the amp into the mode you want it in. I'm not with my amp right now, but I have mine locked into Mode 3, stomp box mode.

I made bracket using 1mm thick piece of galvanized steel, but locking it in utilities would be better.
I will dig into it.
Where is that option?

Here are the pictures of the modified footswitch:

If you press the Utilities button, then scroll through the various options and settings, you should come to one called something like, "Lock Footswitch Mode". (That's probably not exactly right, but it will be close to that). Then you can choose Mode 1, 2, or 3 to lock the 4 button switch into.

I call BS on that one.
There is no such setting in my amp (Fender Mustang 3 v.1).

The v2 model definitely has it.

My fault.
I was not clear enough in my original posting.
Corrected.

The foot switch is not part of the actual switch you can remove the foot switch very easy, its just spring loaded push button that makes contact to a small pc board micro switch

this what the foot switch looks like:

Sorry, I have the v2, and I wasn't aware that the feature wasn't available on the v1.
