Well, chances are that if you can't tell, you don't really need that emulation, right? It's not going to sound any better or worse for knowing what it emulates... :P

Well thank you for hijacking this thread and taking my comments out of context. Again, can you give me a link of a *sound* that the Marshall CODE has for a Fender amp? Or any kind of detail of what they are trying to model regarding Fender amps?

No, I don't. When have I ever said that?

Ok - but you sometimes come over as the all round expert - like here:
"Well, they're cheap. It is not surprising that an awful lot of first time buyers will end up with a Mustang I, because they have to have something to go along with their cheap guitar."
Tone of voice is a bit condescending - anyway forget it..

I see a direct question, posed by you.

Over a hundred amp emulations.

I'm wondering where you got this info? The Marshall website states:

100 user editable Presets.
14 preamp models.
4 power amp models.
8 speaker cabinet models.

24 pro quality FX.
Up to 5 FX simultaneously.
Bluetooth & USB connectivity.
Marshall Gateway compatible.
Headphone output.
Line input.
Tuner.

And just like the Mustang, all of them sound somewhat boxy.

Oh? You tried out all "100+ amp emulations" in person? Or did you just listen to highly compressed YouTube videos like the rest of us? :|

Well if arth1 would put the bottle down for just one second or at least invite a few of us to his table then maybe some of us would be more understanding to his drivel.

According to My sales person at sweetwater.com the 100W head and cab option won't be shipping until September. I may buy the 50 just to play around with it. I still really like my Mustang IV, I just wish it had received a refresh this year. Fender has the brand name and much of the tech built for the Mustang line and it works great, it would just be nice to know if they plan to continue any development for the existing amps and if not, maybe a hint of what may be to come.

Also, in addition to what "strings10927" has shown I have come to deduce that there are two Fender Blackface emulations both clean and crunch, and either a Mesa Boogie, *or* a 5150, along with a Vox and everything else being Marshall. I have listened to a bunch of demos which is subjective at best because of compression, etc. and not one instance of anyone playing anything but Marshall. With that said nothing musically really stands out and slaps me in the face and says buy that.

Also, rumor has it that these things won't even be available until June or early July. LOL!!! I am now *decoded* and will be happily enjoying my Mustangs. I guess Fender said we got it right with the Mustang line and we have nothing to change or to improve at NAMM. Bluetooth would be cool though but I am not crying not even a single tear.

interesting...

Well, I guess the plan would be, if you want one of these CODE amps, they wont "replace" the mustang.

I guess I don't mind that, as they are not big bucks...

I may have to get one, just to satisfy the GAS...

Try to attack the viewpoints of your opponents, and not the person. Ad hominem doesn't belong here.

"Attack" I think just might be part of the problem here Arth... I dunno,, what do you think?

Attacking is a strong word, but I was alluding to your drivel and not you just as you suggest. A dictionary might be helpful.
