The manual speaks of needing two connections for two speakers if I read that correctly.

Do I risk damage to either speaker or amp if I only run 1 speaker to left or right.

Its a peavy 112dl? I have both but I keep them in two locations.

I understand fender disclaimer running anything but a fender cab.

Hello Michaelsworld,

Thanks for your inquiry. The Mustang™ V head does require a load to each speaker output. Failure to do so could result in damaging your amplifier. If you do not have a stereo cab you can run the speaker outs to two mono cabs as long as they each meet the power requirements of 8 ohms and 75 watts. Please let us know if we can assist further. You can always contact us directly at tsl@fender.com.

Why? It's solid state.

It's not my place to argue with a Fender tech, but on the back of my MV it says connect one speaker to run mono. or that may be in the Owner's manual, I just got it, bit I KNOW I read it. At any rate, it's good to know before I cook the amp.

Thanks
