What's the best (and easiest?) way to record a high-quality HD guitar video using a Mustang 1 v2 amp and an iPhone 6?

What's the best (and easiest?) post-performance video editing software, for Macintosh and Windows 7 PC computer users?

Also, is the Mustang 1 v2 the 'right' Fender amp for this effort, or should I upgrade to a different Fender amp with more robust, built-in audio recording/computer interface features?

There are many different ways to accomplish your goals, but why use an iPhone to record and shoot the video?

Assuming you purchased the Mustang new, you can use the bundled Ableton Live Fender Edition to record audio directly to a Mac or PC. I assume the MI would handle this in okay fashion as I have good luck with my Mini and MIV.

You could also get an A/D converter such as an iRig HD and record directly to the iPhone using Garageband or the bundled software with the iRig. No Mustang is needed for this.

Sorry, but I have no relavant experience regarding video capture.

Maybe another user will post some suggestions.

Good luck!

I guess my question was poorly worded. I wanted to use my iPhone because it can record video/audio in sync, and I have an accessory iPhone microphone called a "Mikey" that plugs into the iphone, for a supposedly better quality mic input. Also, if I record directly into the iPhone, I capture audio and video in sync, which means that post-production editing is much simpler since the audio and video portions of the editing 'snippets' are always in sync.

Thanks for mentioning the iRig; I had not heard of it. I guess it could be a better way to get audio into the iPhone, assuming it can function while the iPhone is in "Photo\Video" mode. But I think GarageBand is an audio-only application - you don't edit video with it...whereas I can use iMovie (on the Mac) or equivalent software on the PC to edit BOTH the video and audio, in sync.
