There is a small amber light to the right of the footswitch jack, and I'm not sure what it does. It appears to come on when I use one of the presets that I downloaded. However, it does not come on for two other presets that I downloaded. The amp is a Mustang II. Does anyone have an explanation?

Would that be a Fender Mustang I, II, III, IV, V, Mini or Floor?

That is just a reminder that you might want an Amber Light Pale Ale.

Sorry, I just had to. :) Tne Mustang 2 has three banks of presets. Depending on what bank the preset is in you will get a Red, Green or Amber color.

Nope..
The MII foot switch can be either on or off - that little light indicates if switch is 'on'

All the foot switch does is allow swapping between two presets - you have to select the two to swap between.

It's been a while since I used my MII and switch, so even this might be inaccurate, but it's way closer than the other replies!

Not way closer to the other replies because the Mustang *2* does not even have a light on the single button foot switch. I thought he meant the amp though. Maybe he has a generic foot switch with a light on it but most single button foot switches do not have a light.

Actually, I do not have a footswitch installed in the jack. I just mentioned the footswitch jack to help locate the little amber light on the amp. As I said before, it's illuminated only on one of my downloaded presets, but not on the other two. Is it possible the light indicates a preset that I tweaked to change the sound?

It really isn't a big deal, but just makes me think that if it's not shining I haven't properly stored the downloaded preset.

Here's another thought: Is it possible that the amber light indicates a preset that I saved using the "save" button on the amp vs. using the fuse software in the computer?

Okay, you are talking about the light that is next to the foot switch input. You ask good questions and I wish I could be more helpful but mine goes from red to green and green to red when the foot switch is used. When I use the rotary dial to get to all presets I only get a red and green light on two presets based on my configuration. The RED and GREEN banks are for creating your own presets. The AMBER bank of presets can only be modified using Fender FUSE software. Again I wish I could be more helpful and hopefully someone will chime in with more detail.

Hi Roadie,

Let me thank you for your responses and interest. I really appreciate your efforts. I do have the manual, but am unfamiliar with the fullspectrum website. Since you've mentioned the footswitch, do you have a recommendation as far as that is concerned? Now that I'm getting some better sounds out of the amp, I can certainly see how it would be cool to be able to switch between them, and possibly avoid the purchase and learning curve of a lot of pedals.

Once again, thanks.

Your so very welcome! Any on/off circuit-breaking switch will do and it is especially great for going from let us say a clean sound to a higher gain sound for soloing and what have you.

From the Advanced Manual:

Connect a (optional) 1-button footswitch (P/N 0994049000)
into the FTSW jack to enable remote selection of your two
favorite presets. The LED (next to the FTSW jack) will turn red
or green to indicate which footswitch preset is active.
