Hi group:
Been using a Mustang I with great results for a couple months (bought in July if I recall properly) - and at the last practice it just sounded awful - fizzy, distorted on top of the "on purpose" distortion. Formerly nice clean sounds had to have the pre gain dialed way back to get anything like clean.

Executed factory reset - still no joy.

Can't think of anything to damage the unit except maybe routing a player into the AUX jack with organ sounds (which didn't sound that great anyway.)

Any thoughts or is this just a warranty thing? This amp went from everything sounding pretty good to nothing sounding any good at all...

Is it a Mustang I (v2)? The previous generation (v1) models were susceptible to a noise issue.

Swap the instrument cable and guitar if you have alternates to rule those out as possible sources. Make sure you have Amp connected to a clean power source without any line noise that might be causing the problem.

It's a Mustang 1 v2. Tried with three different guitars, at least three different cords, headphones...
Is especially bad with humbuckers, almost sounds normal with the lipstick tube / very low output pickup... but it used to sound amazing with the Strat with DiMarzio's...
