I'm not a technical guy, so when it come the time to connect something : IT'S A MESS !

Where i can connect the FX return & FX send on my HD500X ?
If i understand, the functionnality of these 2 in/out are to get the FX of the Mustang in the HD500x & the other is to get the FX of the HD500X in the Mustang : is this true & correct !
Just need 2 1/4 cable for this , if i'm right : but which one ? Because i don't know if i need instrument cable or guitar cable ?!
An other thing i need an little USB mixer to connect the HD500X & Mustang on it for optimize all of these device for Cubase 8 ... it is a good idea ?
What kind of mixer i need to connect :
2 Mics ( one for my voice & the other for the Mustang (sm57 mic)
2 In, for my Guitar. one pass through the HD500x & the other through the Mustang
The Manuals are not clear & i need help ..

First, recognize you're trying to connect two of the same thing together. The HD500X is a modeler just like the Mustang, so in effect it's like your trying to connect two Mustang III's together. These two units weren't designed to work together in this manner so the results could be unpredictable, but you can use the HD500X as just a multiFX unit which is what I'm assuming you want to do.

The simplest and most straightforward way to do this is to hook up the HD500X as if it were a simple multiFX unit by taking the cable from your guitar into the guitar in of the HD500X and then come from the unbalanced output L/mono output of the HD500X with a guitar cable into the Mustang III. In this way you can create a preset on the HD500X that contains ONLY effects. Leave the amplifier selection in the HD500X preset set to 'none' as all of these effects coming from the HD500X will be treated as being before the Mustang III signal chain you've setup on the Mustang III preset.

You could also treat the HD500X as if it were an external FX unit and come out of the Mustang III FX Loop Out with a guitar cable into the HD500X guitar input and back out of the unbalanced output L/mono of the HD500X with a guitar cable back into the Mustang III FX Loop In. This would place all of the HD500X effects after the selected amp model used on the Mustang III preset. Again, you don't want an amp model selected in the HD500X signal chain.

As far as a USB mixer, I'm assuming you're talking about an audio interface device. If you are configured in either of the two ways mentioned above you only need one guitar input going into the audio interface from the SM57 mic as the HD500X is being used simply as a multiFX unit so all of it's output is already incorporated into the Mustang III's output. If you have a two input audio interface that has two mic inputs on it, one for your vocal mic and one for the SM57 coming from the Mustang, everything should work fine.
