Until today, I had not used FUSE connected to my Mustang Amps, as neither Amp is near the Desktop PC running FUSE. :(

A long USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable 32-FT (Sabrent CD-USBXT) I got at Fry's Electronics for under $15 did the trick! :D FUSE is now happily communicating with the Amp(s). I can now get deeper into FUSE's various strengths, capabilities, and weaknesses, much of which I have read about on these Forums and the Internet.

At first glance, connected FUSE is very interesting! The Basic Studio PreAmp's "Custom" Noise Gate control beyond what is otherwise available on the Amp directly is nice. Also, instantly seeing the FX Signal Chain Positioning and the EXP-1's position are great! Now having a means to Backup and Restore Presets is also a benefit! Lot's more to explore....

Dear MusicLaw.

We're glad to hear you're now up and running with Fender® FUSE™and that things are working fine for you. I'm enclosing a link below of the Fender® FUSE™ Advanced Owners Manual, I hope you find it helpful and please let us know if we can assist you further.

Thanks, TSL! It has been months since I looked at this PDF! Right there on Page 6 it's mentioned that the Noise Gate has a Custom setting. Isn't the FUSE USB Gain feature, the same as the Mustang v2's LCD Util Menu Line Out Boost?

It is always good to have the PDF (and other handy) reference links fresh in these threads! Otherwise, they do often get pushed down to older pages (depends on the Thread View setting a User configures for the Forums). A Sticky Post of PDF links would always remain atop the Specific Forum! And, BTW, that TSL locked post Re: How to configure a Wah has an outdated link!

For Fender Mustang Owners who want to run FUSE beyond 32' from their Mustang Amps, consider Sabrent's Active USB 2.0 Extension cables in 65' or 100' lenghts! These are fully USB 2.0 480Mbps compliant using Active components powered by the PC's or Mac's USB port! See: http://sabrent.com/category/cables/USB-X20M/ and http://sabrent.com/category/cables/USB-X30M/

For even great reach they make a 150' Extension kit that is USB 1.1 compliant! See: http://www.sabrent.com/category/cables/USB-RJXT/ This converts USB to Ethernet and supports up to a 150' run using Cat5e or Cat6 cable. I seem to recollect this was only about $25. You provide your own Cat5e or Cat6 cable.

Doubtful, given that the standard does not allow for segments longer than 5m. You can have 30m in total, but no single cable segment exceeding 5m.
Note the absence of the official USB logo, and using their own logo instead. They may well work, but if you claim these are compliant, I would like to see something backing up that claim.

Read the Products' Features details on the product website. The USB 2.0 specs claim is the manufacturer's assertion.

The 32' (10 meter) version of the product is currently in use here and working flawlessly! It also worked flawlessly with a throughput demanding Ham Radio Digital Communications and Radio Rig Control program that pushed the 480Mbps limit without errors. I have not tried the 65' nor 100' version. YMMV. So far I am very satisfied with product!
