Post subject: Change to preset Mustang I from my DAW (Reaper)

I've a Mustang I amplifier. I would like to let my DAW (reaper) select the preset on the amplifier (via some program change codes?). The Reaper DAW is connected via the usb and the asio4all driver to the amplifier.
I could do it in the early days on my atari 1024/boss ME5-effectpedal via midi program change code.

Unfortunately, Fender has not opened the Fuse protocol and it's not standard MIDI, so unless someone reverse-engineers the protocol (or looks into PLUG, an existing effort to do that) and builds a VST Reaper plugin (or something similar), this is not going to happen.

Maybe Fender can publish the Fuse Protocol or some sort of API to control the amp.
It's pretty weird that 30 years ago this was easy feasible.

true, you would at least expect i.e. sysex commands over USB to be able to connect to your equipment... anyway, fender uses a proprietary prototcol. :cry:
