According to NBC Brian Williams, as he was working on the Fuse firmware, it will be released this Friday, March 6, 2020. I can't wait !!! I may throw this Mustang in the trash Saturday, though.

Sounds plausible to me. Shortly before Half-Life 3 then?

Fender is branching out from vintage guitars to vintage software.
And Heavy Relic FUSE was supposed to be a secret.

The current version of the Fender® FUSE™ software is 2.7.1 (March 2014).

It's been just about a year since the last update.

Without proper release notes or changelogs, it's hard to say what changed when, but as far as I can tell, that was just fixing a few bugs - nothing was updated or added.

In fact, I can't pinpoint a single thing that has been changed or added since the Mustang came out.

There's a reason for that ...

For your information, I owned a Mustang amp before I joined the forum. And your argument is non sequitur anyhow - all you would have to do to refute my post is point at a single new feature, or point at a dated changelist. Instead you go for the man instead of the ball, as if that would make the FUSE software look better. It won't. If anything, it paints FUSE apologists in a bad light, being so desperate that they have to resort to ad hominem instead of rational discourse.

I have already tried that multiple times with this user, but alas, strings10927's history shows a propensity for flinging mud at people when running low on arguments. I'm not too sure that is a good strategy for winning people over.

As it is, the FUSE software seems, for practical purposes, pretty unchanged, with only sustaining releases since Mustang v2 was released - nothing new, nothing changed, just bug fixes and support for some new devices. Not a single suggestion has been implemented, nor has Fender themselves added anything new. Even though Fender says that development continues, at this point, it seems prudent to presume that this is only bug fix development, and that anyone looking for new features look elsewhere. It appears it was considered completed from a features perspective at the moment it was released.
I have a Mustang in the basement at the vain hope that I am wrong and that there will be software for it that makes it usable. But I am not holding my breath, and I won't sell it to anyone given that the software is unusable, and I have scruples. FUSE is utter crap that won't even work on modern PCs with high DPI, and it's unlikely to ever be fixed due to it being a fundamental design flaw, not a bug.

Plus it's based on a dead-ended software framework (Silverlight)...

That´s my impression too, just a fanboi, but frankly, as he has proven his ignorance i don´t give a bluenote bout what he says anyway

this statement is just another red herring before it will turn out they dropped the whole fuse crap (=lied)
I got hands on some other devices (i.e. digitech), you can see the difference in coding competence blindfolded.
Anyway, selling this crap is going to drive customers away in the long term. Guess i gonna make a youtube review of all this mess cause i couldn´t find any before buying myself. Maybe at least I can help others avoiding fusetration.

Wow arth1, the irony of seeing this statement coming from you ...
