Newbie to Mustang and presets, steep learning curve. Nice to have this help though. I'd like to customize the sounds of the presets and there are so many already set up for hard rock. I'd like to emulate an acoustic guitar as one of my presets if that's possible. And How do I save the presets more or less permanently? They seem to get changed too easily.

You can use Fuse to Save to the orange bank which cannot be overwritten without Fuse. That gives you 8 “permanent” presets.

1. Connect your amp to Fuse
2. Tweak your preset and save to the Media Library.
3. Locate your preset in the Media library
4. Right Click on the preset and choose save to amp
5. A window pops up which allows you to choose the location
6. Choose the Orange location you wish to save to and click save.

Your tweaked preset now lives on an orange slot and cannot be easily overwritten.

But beware that if you hit save on an orange preset it will jump to a green one instead. So yes, the orange ones are safe, but you still have to pay attention when to press the save button.

CaptainC - With your help I was able to get 99% of all the distortion amps put away. I must apologize for my ignorance!. The instructions from Fender are not all that clear. And there is the idea that you have to have some downloaded presets already in the computer in order to get the distortion presets overwritten in the first place.
I.e. the preset has to start with a non- distortion "Fender" type of amp as a base. And you don't neccessarily know what kind of amp was used in any given preset until you open the file name, but that is another issue altogether.

I only have one Amber "British Invasion" setting that seems to refuse to be over written no matter what save button I use. But that's OK. Much thanks!

Now I want to go after the Mod and DLY/REV settings so that they are more usefull. Just using the LED's and trying to count the number of blinks is sort of backward to try to use it only looking at the amp.

I will start a new thread for that, but I am still interested in a more detailed set of instructions. Maybe someone will have written something.

I have a lot of questions and this seems to be the place to start. Thanks again!

Is there an overall "Favorite settings page for the Mustang 2 V2 somewhere? I know I probably have some settings duplicated unintentionally
