Is there a way for me to set my Mustang II V2 to default to a certain setting every time I turn it on?

Hi literarymayhem,

Thanks for your inquiry. You would need to install the Fender® FUSE™ software (see links below). Then, once the Fender FUSE software is installed, you would navigate to the 'Media Library' (button in upper right corner of user interface). Once in the Media Library, you would click on the 'Amp' tab in the center row of tabs near the top of the user interface. Then, the Presets on your amp will populate the Amp list view in the Media Library. From there, you can right click (control click) on the Preset that you would like in the start up position of the amp and select 'Get Preset from amp'.

Once you have copied the Preset from the amp to your computer, you click on the 'Computer' tab and locate the Preset that you just copied form your amp. Right click (control click) on the Preset and select 'Save Preset to amp' from the list. A small dialog window will open and allow you to select the location to save the Preset to on the amp. Select the location you want, and press OK. You should now have the Preset of your choice in the desired location on your amp. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

literarymayhem,

I have owned the model 2 ...

I currently own the model 3 and the Mini ...

I know that in my case the Model 3 defaults to a patch called Liquid Solo in position "00" ... if I turned on the amp and forgot to turn down the master volume I got a 100 watts of feedback as a present ... oops ... sorry honey ...

FWIW : weird choice as a default setting I said to myself ... so I set the 00 or "on" setting to be the Studio pre-amp everything set to a neutral default, at least I don't shatter windows when flipping on the power switch anymore!

What about saving one of your presets to the 00 slot? It worked on my Gdec 3 30

Hi jmr6650,

Absolutely. As with the Fender® G-DEC® 3 series products, the Mustang™ series products are fully programmable. So although the amp loads Preset 00 on power up, the user can define any Preset as the position 00 Preset. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

I also have overwritten the preset 00 with an empty one. I find it kind of strange that the mustang always turns to 00 when switching on - it should stay on the last preset that was active, when turned off.
