Hey There,

I had a Vibro Champ and sound #7 was a really great combo of Vox Jangle with a bit of crunch thrown in.

Loved that sound !

I needed more volume/wattage so I purchased the Super Champ X2 after selling the Vibro Champ.

Now I thought the S C would have the same sounds as the V C and it doesn't

I mean some of them are but the Voxy sound # 7 on the V C was great

I have tried a couple of time with the Fuse Software program to go in and "tweak" the syestme and it's helped a bit on voice # 9 ion the S C

However, has anybody out there: A) knows what I'm talking about with regard to the VC # 7. And B) Figured out what the tweaking formula is the the SC to get that sound ?

Any help would be great

Thanks,

Gary

Hi garyinboston,

Thanks for your post. You may want to try simply 'auditioning' all the amp models (without effects applied). Using Fender® FUSE™, this is easily done by connecting your amp to the software, then clicking on the pull down list next to the amp icon in the center of the 'Preset Editor' window. You can then select amps one at a time and take a listen. I hope this at least provides a good starting place as you get your tone dialed in. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

Thanks for the tips on the Vox Like Chime.

I was hoping the pre set that was applied to the VibroChamp could be copied in some way so I could apply it to the Super Champ

Hi garyinboston,

You are very welcome. Unfortunately, the design of the two models is different. So there is not a way to match Presets directly. But I feel confident that you will find the 'sweet spot' that you are looking for with your new Fender® Super Champ™ X2. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

hey Alan.
You might just want to bite the bullet and get a Mustang v2. I have a III, and it has a "British amp" model which pretty much functions as a Vox AC30 pallette. You can modify this to sound like other amps. i just used it with Fuse the other day to try to match the Jimmy Page sound from Custard Pie, using the vox and a Bassman cabinet, and it sounded pretty close to me. Go to GC or your local dealer and check it out. The price is so reasonable, the speaker is great, it's worth it. Unless you want to drop what, 700 up on getting a teeny toy one which isn't giong to work out. I highly recommend you save your nickels and get the mustang. I got it for cleans, used to own fender and other amps, and it really does what I need it to do in the clean department. Very satisfying. Good Luck!

I was also hoping O.P. had a Mustang amp. I just used the Vox preset created by intheblues for an entire show with my band. It was just what I needed.
