Just joined. Just got my first Fender Mustang lll. I bought it used from a local pawn store, for 70 bucks today. No issues so far. Really enjoy the sounds I am hearing.

This is just a hello and I am glad there is a resource for this amp. Have never owned a modeling amp, but have always relied on my m-audio BlackBox for amp model.

I love Fender products though and have a 99 Jeff Beck custom strat, and a few years ago sold my blackface 64 Champ Amp (8 watts of power....9 watts of hum). Got too much money for it, but people pay for myth sometimes.

I have no regrets moving away from anything tube (that constant struggle with the 60 cycle hum). No more tubes for me. I unloaded an old tube multivox premier as well. Tubes are a pain, and existed only because of the technology of the times. They are now romanticized, but actually were a pain in the butt and damn dangerous to fiddle with. The amp models on this Mustang sound just as good and actually better in many ways.

In any event. Hello to all.

Have a Merry X-Mas

Since I just paid $299 for a new MIII over the holidays I kind of hate you for getting such a good deal! I mean, I stop into the local pawn shops all the time and all I ever see is overpriced crap!

Actually, good for you! :)

Getting to love my MIII pretty quickly as I slowly learn to dial in the sounds to a finer lever (ok, when I first turned it on, I felt like it had a 100 presets that had been setup for 100 different 12 year olds who just got their first guitar, but wow! what a lot of powerful adjustments for such a low price -- even at my price!).

Best!
